Basic to Bikini: Week one and everything before it
I, like many, am a walking contradiction. I hate garlic but love garlic bread. I hate onions but love pickled onions. I’m incredibly easy-going but need to know all the details before I make a decision. I’m laid back but also a bit of a perfectionist.

I unwittingly broke my sugar ban with a take out salad
This story begins two days ago. It was a Tuesday morning and I was up and into the office early, and not being a morning person on the best of days I'll be honest and say the 6am alarm had not been my friend. I also already thought it was Wednesday, which didn't help my mood in the slightest. The day was grey and wet and horribly cold, the epitome of a typical English winter day. The morning in the office had rushed by in a series of meetings including one placed right over lunch time that of course overran, so by the time I got back to my desk and thought about food at 1:20pm I was quite frankly ready to gnaw my own arm off.

The BEST Natural Anxiety Relief
A recent study done by the Anxiety and Depression Association of America concluded that anxiety now affects 40 million American adults—nearly 1 out of every 5 people. Apart from these 40 million diagnosed cases, another huge portion of Americans struggle from anxiety symptoms on a daily basis which include rapid heart rate, panic, depression, and insomnia. Stress and anxiety rates are only growing, so finding a healthy way to cope is critical. For some, medication is too expensive, ineffective, or the side effects are too great to overcome. So then the question arises, "What do I do now?" There are external ways to cope with anxiety, however, there are drawbacks. One can't realistically be expected to drop everything and workout or take a nap whenever those anxious feelings arise. For those who want to get a grasp of their emotions and go about their days in a normal, uninterrupted manner, the advancement of natural remedies and supplements seems like a heaven-send.

Consciousness
Do you feel it? Have you been feeling different lately? Having new insights, inspiriations, awarenesses, feeling like you are waking up from a dream? Don't worry, many of us have. I cannot speak for everyone, but besides myself, I have been speaking to lots of people who are having these same experiences right now, and have been for years. It's just that now, we are really feeling it and shifting into a new state of being, a new paredigm. One of being more present, more conscious of everything, more deepening into the True Self, becoming aware that there is a deeper part of ourselves that is connected to everything and everyone. Myself, and many have been feeling, on some level, we have been unconscious or asleep our whole lives, compared to now. Yep, we are in the great awakening, a spiritual revolution, and we have never been here before. Shadow energy has been revealing itself all over the planet, in our own personal lives and on much grander scales in the world, as we are all witnessing everyday. This is not a coincidence. Shadow reveals the Light. Every spiritual teacher, healer and awakened person, all the astrology, and books that have been written 2,000 years ago, for these times, have all been staying the same thing. Spiritual teachings are coming out everywhere to help us open up to who we really are. We are living for these times and it's epic, and it's hard. Speaking with others about their experience with this, we are all in synch. We are realizing, with what we know now, that we made choices in our lives from the wounds of our shadow. Shadow, meaning the wounds of being in the body - trauma, drama, and pain, from being attached to these material wounding and living our lives through the veil of these injuries. Hurt people, hurt people. When we self judge, we judge others. When we mistrust ourselves, we mistrust others, when we don't feel worthy, we make others not feel worthy, so on and so forth. For several years now, collectively, we have been in the process of healing and letting go of ancestral wounding, and wounding of the body, mind and spirit. Until now, we humans, this go around at least, have been programed to identitify only with the body and material world. Thank you Industrial Age! What's happening now, is that we are being asked by Creator, Divine Source Energy, the Universe, God, All that is - whatever your name is for it, to find our connection back to it and to what we return to when we leave our body, Spirit, Creator, Divine Source Energy, etc... We are finally seeing the illusion of what the Industrial Revolution, Religion, and Institution has force fed us and controlled our thinking with. All of these things have dismembered us from our True Self. We cannot find ourselves outside of ourselves. We are so much more this this body and this material realm, and we are waking up to that fact now. Perhaps it has taken us to become on the brink of survival ourselves, to wake up to our Divinity and the Divine Love that flows and connects us to everyone and everything. Wow! What if we all woke up from the illusion of separation and saw our Divinity and the Divinity in everyone and everything. It would be a different world with a different experience indeed.

Assisted Living vs. In-Home Care for Seniors
Choosing the best type of living situation for your loved one is a decision that should involve both parties, if possible. Talk with your loved one about how they prefer to live, either in their home or at an assisted living home with other people. Consider any medical treatment they need and how much help they need on a day to day basis, if they have a cognitive impairment, and if they have enough mobility to live on their own or not. Think about the costs of each arrangement and thoroughly investigate the staff that will be taking care of your loved one. Look for reviews and comments from other people who have used these services. Making an informed decision that is the best for both parties is important to prevent any unfortunate elderly abuse or accidents.

My First Time in a Deprivation Tank
A float tank, which is also called a sensory deprivation tank or an isolation tank, is a tank that completely closes you off from the outside world. Once the door, or lid closes over a person, it is completely dark and soundproof.
