Long Time Love
Leaving the life once I thought was perfect , I felt angered, betrayed, disgusted with myself for being used and abused in love with someone who lied, cheated committed every underhanded , petty deceitful act he could to work out his harmful and criminal reckonings because inadequate small and creepy people do that. Yet I doubted myself and my own strengths, my own integrity, if I loved him how could leave him? Eventually , I had to stop covering him and take care of myself, In five years time I 'd attempted suicide twice, became agoraphobic, drug addicted and alcohol dependent, I took sleeping pills, anti anxiety medication, and washed it all down with booze. Everyday at happy hour I made myself white Russians, vodka and milk sweetly flavored with kahlua on the rocks consumed 3-6 a day, and I wasn't happy, Can't say what exactly moved me to walk out on the Life I created with myself and the Creep, but I did it. packed up the VW with few belongings, left furniture, photos, books, clothes, my own house to leave the lying cheating little worm and drove as far as I could, across the country to another state and settled into a small house where I knew no one and didn't realize how sick I was or what recovery would take at the late age of 64. I found myself suffering drug and alcohol withdrawals, on my own, I couldn't find a doctor, I had very little money and I was alone.

Despite Adversity
Like many of us in the first month of a new year, I made new year’s resolutions. Like many of us, a portion of that centered on my health and wellness. But how do we maintain these commitments to ourselves when we face difficultit’s such as COVID, especially after injury leaves us unable to use vital parts of our body.

Refresh, Restore, Reflect
"I was going to get you a FitBit for your birthday but you, like, already wear a watch, sohhhhhhh..." I thanked the gift-givers for a $100 GameStop giftcard as we sat around the table at the pizzaria on the first Sunday of last September. However, the conversation (and the fact that at least most of the birthday cards were cartoon fat jokes) got me thinking...

My 600lb Wakeup Call
It was on a very lazy Sunday afternoon when I first cast my eyes upon TLC’s 'My 600lb Life'. At first glance, all it seemed to be was a quintessential all-American weight-loss show, that I would eventually lose all interest in, after skimming through a few episodes in my haze of boredom. I’d just binged on two separate bags of chocolate frogs, and I was ready to feel bad about that.

How I effectively sheded 120lbs weight in 28 days
Weight reduction isn't simple – this assertion will presumably reverberate to many individuals who have been battling for quite a long time to shed a couple of pounds or a decent lump of weight. That, yet whenever you have lost the weight, how would you intend to look after it? Diets go back and forth, with some being famous for some explanation.

How Seasonal Changes Impact Your Sleep (Without You Even Knowing). Top Story - January 2021. Created with: Lull.
For a very long time I struggled to get a good night’s sleep. I was always either tossing and turning for most of the night because my bed was too hot, too uncomfortable, too squeaky, or simply too old. After hours of misery I would finally meet that first REM cycle, but couldn’t stay asleep for long because the discomfort was real! I genuinely thought it was just my seasonal depression which would sometimes trigger my anxiety. For those of you unfamiliar with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD), it’s a form of depression influenced by seasonal changes. It can impact several areas of your life, including daily activities, your interactions, productivity, and your overall mood. But, I wasn’t awake because of any mental stress or agitation and I couldn’t pinpoint why—until I learned that my old, unsupportive mattress was partially to blame for how I was feeling, and the physical stress on my body.

How I Helped the Red Sox Win the World Series
When you think you are above reproach, life has a way of teaching you humility and perspective. I was barely 30 when they found a lump in my left breast. I was really too young and have no family history of breast cancer, so I blew off getting my first mammogram for a few months. I figured it was a cyst that would resolve on its own. Finally, my doctor who had found the lump called wondering why she had not seen any test results. She scolded me for being so nonchalant and shamed my carelessness. I was guilted into scheduling an appointment that day. I don’t want you to be concerned while reading this. This is not a story about me getting breast cancer but breast cancer is part of the story. I have never had breast cancer, so please sit back and relax into the story. Several weeks later—still convinced that this was a waste of time, I went to my first mammogram. I had heard horror stories for years about the boob panini machine and how painful it is to have your breasts pressed into a pancake. Honestly, it is not my favorite thing, wouldn't want to do it for hours but there are many many more painful things in life. Clearly these ladies have never had a baby, broken a bone, passed a kidney stone or had a guy try for anal sex. Not a comprehensive list, but you get the idea, I feel this procedure’s pain scale was exaggerated just a tad.

IT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER!
Blood plasma, I really did not know much about it until recently and what I know probably fills just a thimble even today. Why, though, do we not know more about it? I recently discovered that the medical community is infusing blood plasma into people in severe shape from the Covid-19 virus. That plasma carries with it the antibodies that are needed to fight off covid-19. As over one hundred million people have contracted the dreaded virus, I wonder why there aren’t more advertisements, more public requests for people to donate if they’ve had Covid-19

Fighting tiredness Doesn't have to be the Battle of Losing
1. Get stronger The last thing you'd like to do when you're exhausted is exercise. According to the study, however, physical activity tends to improve energy levels and has beneficial effects on both the mind and the body. That said, by launching straight into a vigorous, heart-pumping workout, do not get ahead of yourself. Begin a little. Go for a brief walk of 10 to 15 minutes and build up from there.
