Medical Practice Through History
“Medical Practice” has improved and changed through the centuries. Today, an unborn baby can survive outside of the womb and go on to live a healthy life. We are fighting cancer and winning! All through history, we have been interested in health and how we can live longer, curing ailments and surviving pandemics --- why, we’re even ‘fighting’ coronavirus today. So, what was “Medical Practices” like in the years gone by? What did the doctor do? (If you could afford one). What were the hospitals like? Where do we start?

Plan B
There are many concerns today regarding the very real possibility that another pandemic of some sort could endanger every American. The very thought of such a catastrophe happening again when the government agencies that are currently in place to protect the public and guard against the likelihood of such an event isn't very reassuring considering what the governmental response has been with this current Covid-19 Pandemic and in the wake of Katrina and the Gulf Oil spill.

Life in The Rockies
Growing up and living in the Rocky Mountains as your backdrop anywhere you went in Colorado was my life. People always said that Colorado was one of the best places to go skiing or snowboarding, other times we were the last place people had in mind when they wanted beaches. Funny thing about Colorado was you always saw people in shorts and tanks all year round. Sure, winters get cold but it's not something that could bring a whole state to its knees. I was born in Pueblo, Colorado and the city itself could have Denver fit inside its limits. Outside of Pueblo is Colorado Springs, or anyone living in Colorado it’s just Springs. Kids had school when a foot of snow falls even two feet, we had school. Barely had any kind of snow day unless the buses couldn't run. Denver had the hockey, football, basketball, and baseball stadiums. Although both hockey and basketball shared a stadium, there was always something going. The Pepsi Center was one of those that had several events that were always and are mostly held.

An Impromtu Spiritual Adventure
I went to the beach today. I have always liked the beach, always felt drawn to it. As a kid, I lived in the middle of the desert and the beach was over 2 hours away. Needless to say, I never really went. My mom was super sick when I was a kid, suffering from chronic nerve pain. She went to the doctor in San Diego a lot. So, every month, sometimes a couple times a month, we took a small road trip. It began usually early in the morning, piling water and blankets/pillows into the car to make the ride a little more comfortable. We would stop and Jack in the Box for breakfast. Still, to this day, I crave a Breakfast Jack combo on long car rides.
