Dream Lucid
The narrator often looks at a story in the third person. A two way mirror between the experience and the exercise of control over it. A lucid dream allows that narrator to perceive the world as he sees fit while also accepting the boundaries placed by his own indoctrination. “This is already too heavy. Even if I read 2 pages a minute like a turtle, I’d still have to start this book from the beginning.” He turns the small black book upside down and places it open on his desk because a bookmark is a sign of unfinished thought. It’s the same reason he always ends on even numbered pages. As his eyes readjust to the blueish hue of the fluorescent lamp, he turns to peak at the written note on the wall where his bed is firmly pressed against. The instructions read “One. Picture yourself standing inside of a dark room where all the walls are painted black”. He goes to lay down, making sure his window is wide open, for the cold air sleeps well with him. He checks his phone's alarm settings to make sure it goes off in 6 hours. Right before he turns off his lamp, quickly glancing at the note one last time, and he says in his head “Two. Ask yourself Am I dreaming?” He closes his eyes. This room seems to create a deafening inner ear blare only heard in silence. Opening his eyes, he stares at this black wall in a room that seems to move further and further away from him. He closes his eyes again and repeats the instructions over and over. “Ok, black room, Am I dreaming, look at hands, engage with objects, manifest objects, check the time, pinch your nose.” He quickly grabs his nose but he doesn’t feel his hand touch them. “I’m breathing fine, yes! Ok, let’s go.” He starts jogging down the corridor looking left and right until he sees a window then rushes toward it. He places his forehead against the glass to peer inside. “This feels soft like my pillow” he thought feeling the glass warp due to the force of his pressing. “There it is” he said. He opens the window and climbs through it.

Wealth
When I was young, much younger than I am now; when my hair was still brown, I bought a notebook. I paid the lady at the checkout, and instead of keeping my change, bought a lottery ticket. And that, dear reader, was the only lottery ticket I have ever bought.

Divine Timing
What kind of fuckery is this?” Amy Winehouse crooned from Cyn’s alarm. Cyn jolted up from her sleep wondering the same thing about the weird dream she had just awakened from. She turned off the alarm and laid back down staring up at her ceiling. It was artfully painted like the sky with vibrant blues and fat white clouds of all different shapes and sizes, the finishing touch of course a sparkling glitter coat. It comforted Cyn every morning, as the sky would always be her favorite view.

Ego and Missed Opportunities
What drives you? What drives your soul? In this world, everyone has different things that drive them and their happiness. Some people want money, some people want ego and status, some people want love, some people want family, some want it all, and some don't know what they want. It is a question worth thinking about so your life plan comes to fruition. It is important to teach others what you have learned in this world without them necessarily having to go through the fire themselves to learn. I have seen so so many missed opportunities due to one not being able to put their pride and/or ego to the side. The Bible says that pride goeth before a fall. And it does. So many people do not know what they want. What they do know is they care about appearances and how something "looks" to others. For example, some people want to be a big fish in a small pond where everyone knows their name, and some want to be a small fish in a big pond. Me? I've never cared too much about everyone knowing my name as that alone unless you become famous doesn't pay any dividends! I am just being honest. I think a great deal of people just look around and blindly follow like sheep and end up at a destination. Nah- life only happens once and for me that is simply not enough. I tell my son all the time (as men are visual creatures and they can't help it by nature), to be smart. THINK. His forty year old self will thank me later. Maybe the skinny girl with the long hair really doesn't have anything to offer but shallow, superficial looks and material things. Looks fade and money definitely comes and goes. He acts like he is listening intently so we will see as the proof is always in the pudding! I know I get on his nerves as he is only 22 right now LOL. In this world, we all need somebody to help us at various points in our lives. My pride has been put to the test so so many times over the years while raising my son. If you cannot ask for help, making it in this world is going to be a lot harder than it has to be. And always be thankful for those with the good hearts that are left in the world. Some may look different than you but they know what darkness feels like. If the people you think that should be helping can't or just won't, you MUST find your tribe of people. I have moved several times over the years and with each move I would always think 'yeah, but I don't know anyone'. Let me tell you something- the Lord has sent me some really good people to help me along the way. Once you make it out of the storm, try not to let bitterness take over your heart (and you are going to want to treat people how they treated you which always wasn't so good). I pray every single day about that. And turn around and helps someone else out of the darkness- we are all just trying to make it through this world the best way we know how. I used to ask the question of the Lord- 'Why'? 'Why Me?' and he answered me saying that I will know soon enough. You are not always going to like your assignment and the human side wants what it wants but the Lord does know best on all things.

7 Food Related Resolutions That Have Nothing To Do With That Extra 10 Lbs
A new year typically means new resolutions to lose weight or to only drink lemon and turmeric for breakfast. January is the time of year to hit the gym (if they’re open still) and try to lose that extra 10 lbs we gained over the holidays or the extra weight you’ve been carrying since…well…forever. I still have baby weight from being pregnant and I’m not sure if I’ll ever get rid of it. Even then, I’m not too worried about getting back to my pre-pregnancy weight.

The Life Of A Type One Diabetic
Hi everyone I have been a type one diabetic since I was 8 (21 years) I wanted to share what its like and some things we wished everyone knew. First I would like to say what's in the picture. The bottle that says freestyle are test strips, we use those to check our sugar. The other bottle that saids ketostix is for checking our ketones when our sugar is high to make sure we are not in DKA ( explain DKA later) the meter looking thing with a strip coming out of it is actually the Omnipod insulin pump. That is the first and only insulin pump that is tubeless. Insulin pumps give us a little insulin every 15 minutes just like your Pancreas would. It also gives us boluses when we tell it that our sugars are high or we eaten ( corrections). The other little thing is a lancet device it helps our stick our fingers to create blood so that we can check our sugar levels.

Fault in Your Stars
Facebook Marketplace: Baby Shoes. Never Worn. $5 She submitted her posting, closed her laptop and paced around the living room with tears streaming from her eyes. How many times was this going to happen? She couldn’t go through this again. Each month was so hard. She was late. Then she was not. It could take three or four months but her time always came. That little plus sign had never appeared before and then after just a week, the blood appeared. There just had to be a logical explanation.
