I woke up from a blissful sleep before the Sun, made some breakfast and savored it till the Sun came up illuminating the quiet earth below it. Taking a walk in the backyard garden I saw how dew drops added a new level of beauty to the garden.
The serenity of the morning is so good for the peace of mind. Strolling around I let my thoughts wander. The cool breeze in the morning played a huge role is relaxing my muscles. With the peace of mind and body I headed back to get ready for the campus.
Throwing on the white coat and with hair in a high-ponytail I grabbed my bag, gave my mom a bear hug and headed to the campus. <Time Skip> With a bell that campus let out. Throwing my bag over my shoulder I grabbed a taxi and headed home. Strolling today was a big 'No! No!' because it was blazing hot today.
At home and pressed for time I made quick work of my lunch and with the help of my mother I put on the hat and the gown. It is definitely not as simple as it seems. My hair was pulled back in a simple neat style. Clicking dew pics and headed to the destination. Being a bridesmaid I had to be there before the guests.
Entering the hall I saw the staff in last stages of putting everything together. The lights and the flower arrangements were sophisticated and elegant. Quickly heading to the brides room I was prepared to be amazed. The makeup artist and the hair stylist were putting finishing touches on the bride. As soon as they left I saw how beautiful she looked the makeup was enhancing rather than transformative. It brought out her doe-like eyes.
I waited no more and dished out compliments making her blush. The other bridesmaid were now here. The photographer came in for the phootshoot. I think I spent an hour posing I feel like a model now. I felt bad for the bride since her photoshoot is going to be longer than ours.
<Time Skip> The phootshoot is done and we left the brides room to give her some privacy her parents seemed to be on the verge of crying and it felt as if a little push is going to let all the tears flow freely. I can understand this is the hardest moment for any parent. A struggle to keep their beloved daughter who they nutured with love with them and knowing it's time that she has to start her own family.
Everything is going smoothly till now I hope everything remains the same. Soon it was time to march the bride to the altar. Standing outside the door we were waiting for the bride but it was a no-show. Leaving the line I headed in to check.
You have no idea! How hard I tried to control myself from bursting out laughing. The scene in front of me was comical. The bride was frustrated and on the tail of her long gown were her twin toddler brothers who had the sliver strings of the dressed grabbed in their hands and were begging her for a ride. Hilarious! The bride was giving me a defeated look and narrowed her eyes at me as if she knew I was laughing inside.
Telling her to calm down I called her parents to take the twins away. Her parents did not even try and burst out laughing. Grabbing each twin and patting their pouting daughter they left - their laughter echoing behind them.
Now the bridal party is ready and we are heading towards the alter. The dad joined us after few minutes and soon she was standing at the alter. Nothing else can go wrong. 'Oops!' 'I just jinxed it!' 'Didn't I?' Looking around but nothing seemed to cause a stir so I relaxed but the lingering feeling still stayed.
The vows were being exchanged. I relaxed knowing it's about to end and everything went smoothly. ..... but it was not meant to be a man banged open the door and rushed in. Falling to his knees he grabbed the groom's leg and started crying. Seemed like crocodile tears to me.
The grooms left eye was twitching madly. I was confused. I think the guest were confused to but I saw amusement in bride's face. That didn't the crying man and he continued, 'Don't you love me anymore?' 'Is that why you are marrying?' 'Please don't leave me I promise to share all my toys with you.'
I heard the guest whispering ex-lover and various not so polite things but the one thing that made me believe that all they were saying is false was the bride's amusement. I guess the groom had enough and he bonked the crying man on head. The crying man than went crying to the groom's parents - flailing around he continued, "Mom big brother is being a melanie!' But the flex and knuckle cracking from the groom caused him to do 180° and he said, 'I will be good brother!'
So the crying man turned out to be the groom's youngest brother. Who I later learned was taking revenge on his older brother for embarrassing him infront of his friends all the time. As the event proceeded into the night I think this was better than any drama I have seen. The food was simply amazing and don't even let me start on the dessert menu.
The chocolate nymphs dancing on the pudding was a work of art. 'Wedding!' The time were you can enjoy the food without worrying about the your diet plans. The finishing ceremony was equally mesmerising.
Hundreds of light balloons were released in the air illuminating the night sky . <Time Skip> Back home and in my casual dress I shared all the pics with mom telling her about the drama that unfolded in the wedding. I don't think I would forget this wedding for a long time.
Have you ever been to such a wedding - with a high voltage drama?
