For Those Still Becoming: A Letter to the Ones in Process
You are not behind—you're becoming exactly who you're meant to be.

To those still becoming—
Still figuring it out.
Still healing from what you don’t always talk about.
Still rising from things you never imagined you’d survive.
Still tired. Still tender. Still trying.
This is for you.
There’s something sacred about the space between who you’ve been and who you’re becoming. It’s quiet here. Confusing at times. You’re not who you were, but you’re not quite sure who you are now either. You’ve outgrown parts of your old life, your old self, and your old patterns—but the new you hasn’t fully formed. And that in-between space? That stretch? That’s where the real becoming happens.
No one talks about this part enough. The part where you’ve made the decision to change your life, but life hasn’t quite caught up yet. The routines still feel unfamiliar. The loneliness creeps in. The self-doubt whispers louder than your confidence. The world keeps moving like nothing’s changed, but inside you, everything has.
It’s frustrating to do the inner work and not see immediate results. To show up differently but still feel unseen. To walk away from what was comfortable only to step into uncertainty. But what you’re doing matters. You’re shifting. And shifts take time. They take patience. They take faith. Not the loud, showy kind—but the quiet faith that says, “I don’t know what’s next, but I know I can’t stay where I was.”
You may feel like you’re behind. You’re not. You may feel like everyone else is moving faster, thriving more, loving better, living freer. They’re not. Everyone has a story behind the story. Everyone has a process they don’t post about. Yours is just as valid. Just as worthy. Just as real.
Being “in process” doesn’t mean you’re broken—it means you’re brave. It means you were willing to stop pretending. It means you care enough about your life to be honest about what hurts, what’s not working, what you actually want. And that honesty? That’s sacred ground.
I know there are days when you want to give up. Days when nothing makes sense. Days when healing feels like it’s breaking you apart instead of putting you back together. Keep going. Keep breathing. Keep trusting the voice inside you that keeps saying, “There’s more for me than this.”
You’re becoming. And becoming takes energy. Rest when you need to. Cry if it helps. Laugh whenever you can. Don’t rush through this part just because it’s uncomfortable. Every great transformation has a middle. Every strong foundation takes time to build. Every story worth telling had a chapter where everything was uncertain.
Give yourself grace. You’re doing better than you think.
Sometimes, the most powerful thing you can do is not give up on yourself. Not abandon your progress just because it doesn’t look like the success you imagined. Not compare your path to someone else’s highlight reel. Your story is unfolding exactly how it needs to. You’re not missing your moment. You are your moment.
So take the next small step. Trust that clarity will come. Let this season teach you. Let it soften you, sharpen you, reveal you. Because the version of you that’s emerging? They are worth the wait. They are whole. They are ready. And they are coming into being—day by day, breath by breath.
To those still becoming—
You are not behind.
You are not lost.
You are not forgotten.
You are in the making.
And you’re right on time.
