Becoming The Best Version of Myself

It's All About Me

I know I write about this a lot and I talk about this a lot, but it is something that I truly believe is super important for everyone to keep in mind, and that topic is self-love and learning how to become the best version of yourself. This is something that we are not taught in school, and I’m sure that many of you can relate to me when I say that my parents never taught me about these type of things either. Don’t get me wrong, I love my parents very much and I am super appreciative of everything they have always done for me to this day, but if it is something that I wish they would have taught me more about is self-love and learning how to become the best version of myself. It has been a long and rough road, but I have loved it up to this day. I still am learning how to better myself to this day, and I feel like we all can still learn something new about ourselves no matter how much we think we know ourselves. I want to talk to you all about my experience and how I felt throughout the entire time I decided to make this big change for me, and I also hope to make a big enough impact to one of my readers where they decide to do this type of change for themselves as well.

The very first thing that I focused on was figuring out who I was and giving myself time to figure that out, and in all honesty, I am still figuring that out to this day. But giving myself the time that I needed to figure out who I am is something that I am so glad that I did because thanks to that, I found out so much that I did not know. I appreciated doing things on my own, I learned from my errors and grew from them, I accepted my flaws and learned to love every single thing about me, from the things that I thought were wrong with me to the things that I thought were great qualities about me. In all reality, even my flaws are great qualities of me, and that is something that took me time to accept, but I have come to learn to love them. By giving myself the time that I needed to figure out who I am helped me also learn about who I want to be in the future and what I want to accomplish in life. I have been able to set my goals clear and where I want to be and what I want to get done. So when someone asks me what they should do first to become the best version of themselves and to learn how to love themselves, is to give yourself the time to learn about yourself and who you are because once you do that, everything else will become clear.

Aside from giving myself time and figuring out who I was, I also did other different type of activities to help me become the best version of myself. I read a lot of self transformation books, I read a lot of blogs, I started to spend more time at the gym, I started to eat healthier and I started to spend more time by myself. Reading has always been something that I have always enjoyed, but once I started to read self transformation books, I never realized how much reading could actually teach me ways to learn about myself and teach me how to learn and appreciate myself more. Blogs did the same thing for me because even though they were short and not as in depth as books, they were short and to the point and were clear in what lesson I should take from them. Eating healthier and exercising regularly was something that also helped me get better at becoming the best version of myself. By doing these changes, I had a better and a more positive mindset and felt better about my body every day. Doing little changes like this believe it or not, make a huge impact on your life and in your daily moods because by eating better and exercising regularly, I felt better in the mornings when I would wake up, and I felt well rested every day. I never felt like I was tired too quickly nor did I feel drowsy throughout the day. Spending time by myself is also something that helped me learn how to love myself even more. I would go out on walks or hikes by myself, I would go eat by myself, go to the book store, go to the mall, or simply run errands. I learned how to spend time by myself without being ashamed of it.

So if you are wondering if all these things really do help in trying to figure who you are and on how to become the best version of yourself, then my answer is yes, it will greatly help. Obviously not everyone learns the same way or does things the same way, so maybe there might be a few things that worked for me that might not work for you, but in general, most of these will help you. Take my word for it when I tell you that deciding to do these things have greatly impacted my life and my choices. I have learned who I am and what I want to accomplish in life, along with learning how to spend time alone and how I can become the best version of myself that I can possibly be.
