A New Year's Blessing

As the world ushered in a new year, Hastings, Nebraska-based Mary Lanning Healthcare welcomed the first baby of 2025. The star of this happy celebration is baby Leo, who tipped the scales at 8 pounds, 6 ounces. "We are completely overjoyed to start the year with such a monumental blessing," said beaming parents Ty and Sarah Manners. 

A Dream Come True for the Mangers Family

For Ty Mangers, becoming a father has always been a lifelong dream. Speaking about the momentous occasion he shared, "It's a great way to start the year - what better way than to bring life into the world? Being a dad has always been a lifelong dream, and I've always wanted a big family. My wife is tough as nails - she was incredible throughout the whole experience. I was just happy to be right by her side."

Sarah, too, demonstrated incredible strength and resilience during childbirth, earning high praise from her husband for her unwavering determination and grace.

A Welcoming Family

Baby Leo's arrival has sparked excitement not only for his parents but also for his extended family. Ty shared that their loved ones have been eagerly awaiting this moment.

They're over the moon, and my wife's parents are excited too," Ty said. "They can't wait to meet him. I farm in the Juniata area, so I'm looking forward to raising him on the farm. I cannot wait for him to grow up and work alongside me. Every part of this experience will be special.

For Ty, raising Leo on the farm will be an extraordinary and fulfilling experience. He hopes that his child will learn valuable lessons about working hard and living within a community, all set amidst the backdrop of nature.

Pregnancy Journey Like No Other

 Ty had a lot to say about the experience of pregnancy in Sarah:

"It's amazing to see the different stages of pregnancy and watch him grow," he said. "Later on, we could feel him kick and even get the hiccups while he was still in the womb. It's something you don't think about until it happens. My wife was an amazing trooper, and I was just honoured to be there for her."

These special moments-from the expectation of feeling the baby's first kick to the surprise of his heart etched their memory within the couple.
