We spend about one-third of our life sleeping. sleep is one of the most complex and mysterious body processes known to science. Some people also struggle with sleeping. Sleep is a body process that allows your body to rest, repair and restore itself. Without a good sleep your body and brain can’t work as they should. Lack of sleep effect our daily life. In a good sleep our less active body makes it easier for heal injuries and repair issues that happened in our body while we were awake. Good sleep strengthens our brain and makes our memory sharper. Sleep is a natural process; no one teaches us how to sleep. We are born with a natural instinct to sleep. As we age, the environment around us makes us busy and adds physical and mental stress. While we are asleep, our body uses less energy. That lets those cells resupply and stock up for the next day. When we were young, our parents controlled our eating and sleeping. As we grow up, we are supposed to have control over our sleep, but due to our uncontrolled lifestyle, we are losing control over our sleep. All we need to establish control over our sleep is our willpower. There are some simple tips for better sleep that many people follow and have seen good results.

Things you can do to get good sleep:

• Make sure your bed and bedroom are comfortable for sleep and the room temperature is not too hot or too cold. Remove everything from your bedroom that might disrupt your sleep.

• Your bed has a very important role in a good sleep. Make sure that the bed is not too soft and not too hard. There are good quality mattresses available in the market today for beds that are neither too soft nor too hard. Use them if you can.

• Exercise every day. Walk for 10 minutes in the fresh air or, if possible, swim for 10 minutes. The best time to exercise is during the day. You can exercise in the afternoon or evening if you want. Exercising after this time can disrupt your sleep.

• If possible, take a bath with lukewarm water. This will relax you a lot.

• Make a habit of reading a book while lying in bed at night, and you can't sleep. After a while, if you feel sleepy, put down the book and go to sleep. In this case, you can choose a fairy tale book to read. This is often more effective for sleep.

• If a thought comes to your mind and you can't do anything about it right away, write it down. Before going to bed, tell yourself that I will think about this problem tomorrow.

• Develop a habit of going to bed at a specific time and waking up at a specific time. Always try to sleep in a specific place, i.e. in your comfortable bedroom.

• You can include some foods that are available at hand that are naturally good for your sleep in your diet list. You can eat foods that are good for sleep such as almonds, milk, honey, eggs, etc.

• If you can't sleep after going to bed, you should get out of bed without lying down, do something to relax yourself, and then return to bed and try to sleep again.

• It may sound unbelievable, but sometimes you should make the decision to stay awake even if you can't sleep. Sleep is a natural process, so let it come naturally.

• Avoid excessive thoughts. Keep your mind clear and calm. Remember your Creator and pray.

Things you should not do before sleep:

• Don't go for long periods without sleeping. Go to bed only when you feel tired at night. Try to get up at the same time every morning. Whether you feel tired or not.

• Tea or coffee affects our sleep. The caffeine in tea or coffee helps us stay awake. That is why it is better not to drink tea or coffee after noon. If you have a habit of drinking hot drinks in the evening, you can drink hot milk or any other caffeine-free drink.

• Have dinner as soon as possible and do not eat heavy meals late at night. If possible, choose the evening time to have dinner. Do not lie down in bed immediately after eating at night.

• If for some reason you can't sleep at night, don't sleep during the day the next day. You will find that you will have difficulty falling asleep that night.

• Do not keep a TV, computer, or other devices in your bedroom. Avoid using your mobile phone while lying in bed to sleep.
