4 January 2026 7:08 am … At 3:30 pm-ish I was toasting pita bread triangles with a fork over an open gas flame on my stovetop. Without even thinking I put the fork to my mouth and badly burned my lips. I heard the hiss of the hot metal hitting my flesh.

November 17th, 2022 The cold is here, and it will stay for a while. It’s dark by 4PM and the forecast for tonight is snow, for the first time this season. I’m writing this entry from my bed, listening to my boyfriend compose a song from the other side of the wall; waiting for the snow to fall. I have to sleep soon, it’s almost 10PM and I need to work tomorrow, and I hope to wake up to frosty-white streets and trees.
