More Than Just a Planner
Since I was a toddler wearing overalls and pigtails, I was constantly exploring and reaching for my mother’s orange handled crafting scissors, wanting to create a new craft or learn something new. From different genres of books to the types of trees, species of birds, learning crafts, and finding rocks in my backyard to paint, my imagination was vivid and tactile. I craved learning and creating from the days of finger painting on construction paper onward. This turned into my exploration of different arts and crafts. I bounced from activity to activity – calligraphy, making tiny houses from kits, writing, crochet, designing my own greeting cards for family members, diamond paintings, paper dolls – you name it, I’ve probably explored it. What I haven’t explored, is on my to-do list.

Building a plane
My grandfather owned a furniture store, in which he made all the items. He also fixed and upholstered other people's broken furniture. He did it all, built the frames, and did the upholstery for chairs, sofas and such. I used to hang around his shop as a child and I’d help him and over the years I kept up on my sewing. I’m no expert, but I do pretty well with a sewing machine and a needle and thread, so about year and a half ago when my friend asked if I wanted to go to Montana to visit his father who’s building a plane and work on the upholstery for it, (and also work on the instrument panel since I know computer systems as well) I jumped at it!

A year of garlic farming
The morning dew always falls heavy in September. Walking up to clip garlic stems each morning, takes on a ritualistic feel, since I arrive to the drying greenhouse and remove my soaked shoes as I enter. Some days, with clear eastern sun, it very much feels like I’m entering hallowed ground, as the greenhouse is ablaze with light as I stoop underneath the open eaves and take my shoes off as a first act of recognition where I am. I sit down in a lawn chair, pull up a crate of garlic, and get clipping, to either the echoes of nature, or later in the season, to music especially selected for helping with endurance.

Don’t Get Baited by Entrepreneur's “What I Would Tell My Past Self” Advice Stories
If I listened to any advice my mother gave, sorry mom, I would have a lot of limits in my life. It would be error-free, but at what cost? Less wisdom. less insightfulness. I could save some time avoiding the mistakes she noted. but I would lose the deeper meaning. It’s like reading the summary of a book and pretending I know the whole story.

Speech Recognition Software To Create More Engaging Content
Okay, so I started this initiative when I got bored writing. It’s not perfect yet, but it’s doing its best. I’m a perfectionist, and I always try to improve my writing. I knew I needed to write the way I talk. I Googled “speech to text”, click on the first link in the results, and voila. I could speak and create content just like that. And it almost sucked…

I Saw a Drop at My Earnings But an Increase in my Self Respect
Last month, I started writing about writing tips. It didn't take much time till I felt fatigued. I wrote less than 11 stories, most of them were a meaningless attempt of me to achieve more views and earnings.
