Why You Shouldn't Go To College
The running joke throughout my high school career was that every single one of my peers and I wanted to drop out of school and become a stripper. Becoming a stripper would mean the only thing that would be just as terrible as high school would be the work ethic. No judgement from other students, no grades to be kept up, no worries for whether you'll make enough money or not. But as hard as high school was, none of us followed through in the hopes that our college years would be the highlight of our lives that pushed us into our future.

How I started a business in 2020
Like many others, I came into 2020 with grand dreams of success. People do that every year of course, and few succeed. I thought that was going to be my lot in life after a severe stomach pain sent me to the hospital. Once there, I discovered I needed a colonechtomy and my blood pressure was off the chart. I ended up spending three weeks in the hospital and a total of six weeks recovering. That was a very depressing time because I had been slated to do two tours this year, one of them overseas.

I lost my job, and it was the best thing that could have happened
Let's start with the obvious: 2020 has been insane. Everyone is ready for this year to be over. From the first call for lock-downs to the current day, we don't know what to expect next. Unfortunately, losing your job in this uncertainty is nothing new. So many people this year took a financial hit and lost a lot. I was part of the lucky population that was working in a "critical" job, and I was very thankful I got to wake up and go to work every day. Even better, I loved my job. I perceived I was part of something bigger, something great, with a company that was really trying to make a difference in the world. I had climbed up the corporate ladder pretty quickly and thought I had my career on track and on lock until retirement. Then, it all fell apart....
