A Thank You Letter

Creating printable art allows me to explore and experiment with all of the mediums I love; photography, illustration, and design. I like to create minimal, geometric and abstract designs, exploring shapes, lines, and patterns, with a tribal, bohemian and earthy feel. I usually stick to a minimal color palette and woodblock style designs, which stem from my love of printmaking. Maori art, mythology, and textiles all have a heavy influence on my work and my style often expresses my New Zealand heritage, albeit in an abstract way.

Your continuous encouragement has helped me to grow a business that I am truly passionate about. By supporting The Printable Studio you have afforded me the opportunity to create, evolve and grow my style while sharing my work with a global audience. I am deeply humbled every time you purchase my work as I know it takes commitment to purchase a digital artwork and then carry through with the printing process and framing. It’s so great to discover that there are so many people out there like me, DIYérs happy to work to create what they want.

Sharing art with a large audience can be a vulnerable act, but 100% worth it. The joy I get from seeing my work in homes around the world is indescribable. Community Spirit and life in Lock-down

During this uncertain time we are all experiencing, I am even more grateful for all of your support. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I encourage all of us during this time to reach out to other small businesses who will need our help more than ever. If you have the means, then that's amazing.

If we are lucky enough not to be affected greatly by our current circumstances, then I find there is so much beauty in this global coming together. We are in lock-down here in Barcelona. Each night at 8 pm we go out on our balcony and we clap. We cheer for all the courageous essential workers, doing their job for us each and every day. We can hear the whole town clapping. The energy is so special and contagious and I feel such a connection to everyone.

Each day my family and I try to focus on what makes us feel good. Daily dance parties, family video chats, sleep ins, creative time and much needed personal time. I also listen to motivational podcasts (currently enjoying Hay House) and online mediation and yoga classes to relieve my mind and stretch my body. So far so good, we are surviving well:)
