Revolver Theory. Top Story - January 2026.
With the technological advancements seen in any given field over the last few decades I often question why certain things still exist. For the average citizen of course, places like hospitals and engineering firms are constantly phasing older tech out to bring in the best possible equipment available. What I find most surprising is not only are things like revolvers and carburetors are still widely loved, but the fact they are still being mass produced.

Smoke hung in the air like thick black fog, swirling and spreading across the dense forest the small village was nestled in. A young girl sat curled up in the corner of the ashy burnt planks that were what remained of her home. Through tears and ash caked eye lashes she could make out the shapes of men working in the street. Some hauled bodies out of the way of carts and carriages while others rummaged through the few houses still standing.

The Price of Perfection
Heat rushed out into the dimly lit alley in a viscous haze as door number seven rose up slowly on its tall hydraulic lifters. The alley ran across the front of a three-story concrete building that took up over twenty city blocks, Goliath Inc held up to its name as much as the myth of the old stories. The dirty nameless passage ran into Grave Street in the east and Edsel to the west, providing a back passage into the parking garages that mirrored Goliath, convenient for the eight thousand souls that toiled away behind its heavy steel doors.

Elanor gazed upon the massive structure in front of her, the height of half a dozen men and twice as wide around its heavy iron base that clung to the floor like a mountain rising out of the earth. The dwarves and Elves had worked alongside each other once again with the materials supplied by the newly rebuilt city of Geldar. The finishing touches were performed over the last weeks as the Nymphs of Agathok had arrived and began blessing every inch of the machine with their magics, bolstering the warding runes and giving the steel a low hum from the contained power.

Sleek gray rock whizzed by at a thousand miles an hour as a man clad in heavy grime covered plates of armor fell. He had lost track of how much time he had been falling for, his loose grip on consciousness making it impossible to even guess. the sun had not shown the bloody dark tunnel its light in more time than a man could comprehend, yet the walls could be seen as if some other force was present, lending its sight to those who came here.
