Will humans die, if bees go extinct?
What will happen if bees go extinct

Do you know what will happen, if bees go extinct? Well, it is believed that the life on the surface of earth is not possible without bees, if bees get extinct then the humans will also die, and recently bees have been declared the most important species of the earth. But why bees are so essential for living? What do they do? And how will their extinction effect human life? Well, before understanding the importance of bees, first we have to understand cross pollination.
What is cross pollination?
Cross pollination is a process in which pollen grains are transfer from male part of the flower to the female part. This process occurs with the help of an external agent called pollinating agent. Actually, a plant can't go near another plant for reproduction. So, for this purpose, bee's play a major role in the process of plants reproduction. When a bee sits on a flower, the pollen grains from the male part of the flower get stuck on its body, and when this bee move to the female part of the flower, the pollen grains from its body go into the ovary. This whole process is called cross pollination and this way most of the plants reproduce.
Due to this process, we get at least 70% of our crops, it means 70% of our food is depended on bees. Let's suppose if the bees get extinct, then what will be the impact in our life.
Bees pollinate fruits and vegetables
The important vegetables such as cucumber, carrots, cabbage, broccoli and onion and many more essential Vegetable we get through the pollination of bees. Bees also pollinate essential fruits such as apple, kiwi, muskmelon, watermelon and mango which is also called the king of the fruits. So, the extinction of bees will also extinct these all.
Bees pollinate coffee
Like other plants, coffee is also pollinated by bees. Coffee may not be essential for living, but it is a 100 billion industry, and many people's employment is depended on this business.
Bees pollinate nuts
If bees go extinct, then we will be deprived of essential nuts such as cashew and almond, which provides essential nutrients and vitamin.
Clothing industry
Not only food, bees also play a significant role in providing clothes as well. Because almost 60 % of women and 70% of men like to wear cotton's clothes, which is also gotten from bees pollination. If there will be no crops then the lack of crops will also affect the survival of animals because most of the animals such as herbivores depend on plants for their survival.
How to save bees?
If we want to save life on this planet, then we have to save bees from extinction, because in many countries, bees are counted in the category of endangered species. There are three major reasons behind the decline of bees.
1. The use of pesticides
The pesticides which we use to save our crops is one of the major reason that harms the bees. Because in pesticides, there is a substance called neonicotinoids, which gives a Shock to the bees and kill them.
2. Parasite (varroa mites)
There is a parasite called varroa mites which reproduce inside the bees colony and sucks the blood of the bees. This parasite was first discovered in 2006 which is also called CCD means "colony collapse disorder". There are several cultural methods which can be used by to save bees from this parasite.
3. Awareness about bees
Mostly, people don't know about the importance of bees, they think that bees only give honey. So it is important to spread awareness about the importance of bees in people.
