Why I've Not Picked Basketmouth's Call Since He Divorced - Bovi

The rate of divorces in the entertainment industry is very high these days. It seems like almost every few couple of months, we hear news about celebrity couples divorcing, and one divorce story that really surprised the nation was comedian Basketmouth's divorce from his wife. Now, in a new standup special, Basketmouth's friend and fellow comedian Bovi touched on the issue during his set and jokingly explained why he has been avoiding Basketmouth's calls since Basketmouth announced his divorce. Here's what Bovi had to say.

Speaking about why he's been avoiding Basketmouth's calls since Basketmouth announced news of his divorce, Bovi said:

BOVI: You know say the comedian Maleke look me eyeball to eyeball say Bovi I can never divorce my wife. I said "bro, never say never," he said "mark my words, I can never divorce my wife." Na so him wife divorce am. Una no know? The thing blow like breeze na. Maleke wife divorce am, he gist Klint De Drunk, Klint wife divorce am. Klint gist Julius, Julius' wife divorce am. Julius gist Buchi, Buchi wife divorce am. Buchi gist Basket, Basket and him wife divorce. You know from that day wey Basket and his wife announce the divorce till today, Basket dey call me, I no pick.

I don see the pattern, I said no! Basket see me the other time say "oh boy, I don dey call you, you no dey answer", I said "sorry, I'm busy." He said "there's something I wan tell you, you know say me and my wife--" I said HEEEYY!! Him say wetin? I said "how your children?" He said "they're fine. My first one don dey uni now, the young one don dey ready for college, the younger one dey grow." I said "oh beautiful". He now said "But you know say--" I said HEEEYYY!!! [laughs]. I cover my ear.

You know say when the first three happened, I said ah ah, what's going on? This thing be like pattern. So as Julius announce him own, I go house, because all our wives are friends. I go house come dey behave myself. My wife shock, she came back, I don wash pants, wash bra. Because the thing be like pattern.

Bovi is so unserious! 😂 But honestly, the thing truly looked like a pattern. What do you think of what Bovi said?
