The word Ayurveda comes from the Sanskrit words "Ayur" meaning life and "Veda" meaning knowledge or science. Ayurveda is therefore known as the science of life or the knowledge of longevity. The principles of Ayurveda focus on achieving a balance between the mind, body, and spirit to maintain good health and well-being.
