The dark side of OF & its intentions & how to break free from lustful intent

My experience & The truth behind OnlyFans

By Bri SzumeraPublished about an hour ago 3 min read

The platform OnlyFans may seem "glamourous" but it has the dark truth behind it that's twisted the minds of it's creators along with it's audience. It markets itself as empowerment and freedom, but underneath is it carefully designed to hook both creators and consumers into an endless cycle that leaves them emptier than before. What looks like a choice is often really exploitation - of your body, your mind, and your soul.

The trap creates endless desire and need to feel the "guilty pleasure." The truth is you never will feel satisfied even after you have seen provocative or revealing images of its creators. That’s how sin works: it promises life but delivers death. It offers temporary relief but steals your peace. That’s why you keep wanting more. It’s a trap to keep you stuck, chasing something that can never fill you because only Jesus can truly satisfy the human heart.

The reason why people are on OF due to mental health-related issues. They perhaps feel the need to escape reality but it creates more issues like anxiety, depression and brings shame. It numbs the pain for a moment, but then the mask comes off and the hurt is still there—only now it’s compounded by guilt, secrets, and a heavy spiritual weight you were never meant to carry alone.

But the good news is that you don’t have to feel trapped anymore. If you’re willing to repent of your sins the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will save you. He will save your soul from going further down that rabbit hole. He doesn’t just forgive you—He restores you. He doesn’t just set you free from the past—He gives you a future. You don’t have to clean yourself up before coming to Him. Come just as you are, broken and weary, and let Him make you new.

The battle begins in your mind and that’s spiritual warfare to kill lust and sin’s never-ending trap. Every time you reject a sinful thought and fix your eyes on Jesus, you are literally rewiring your brain. The Holy Spirit is with you in this fight. You are not fighting for victory—you are fighting from victory. Christ has already won. Stand on that truth when the enemy whispers lies.

Sin is never-ending cycle that sentences sin to death once it’s fully grown. It begins small and seems harmless, but it grows until it dominates and destroys. The Enemy is patient. He doesn’t need you to fall all at once—he just needs you to compromise again and again. That’s why vigilance matters. That’s why staying in the Word and in community matters. You cannot walk this road alone and expect to stay free.

OF has no way of coming back if you decide to break free from lustful intent. This includes other sins along with it, including pride and the sexually immoral. Breaking free isn’t just about deleting an account; it’s about deleting the identity that was built around it and stepping into who God says you are. That takes time. That takes healing. But it is worth it. You are not defined by what you did. You are defined by whose you are.

As an ex-creator of OF I was making little money to feel secure. To be honest I didn’t like it because it was the devil’s money rewarding me for my behavior. It felt like a bribe to stay silent and stay small. But God’s provision is different. It doesn’t shame you. It doesn’t cost you your dignity. He provides in ways that honor Him and protect you.

I'm now a year completely free from the OF world and sin. If I can be set free, so can you. There is no temptation too strong, no habit too deep, no past too dark for the power of Jesus Christ. He specializes in making all things new. Your past does not disqualify you from your purpose—it may become the very platform God uses to reach others with the same freedom you’ve found.
