Empathy: A Sentiment Beyond Words
Empathy: A Sentiment Beyond Words Empathy forms the essence of humanity. It is the ability to resonate with another's pain, to partake in their sorrow, and to provide solace. When someone shows empathy towards us, it provides comfort; similarly, when we express empathy towards others, it brings us inner satisfaction. However, true empathy transcends words—it must manifest in actions imbued with genuine compassion.

The Path of Effort and Destiny
The Path of Effort and Destiny In life, we often rely on fate. We say to ourselves, "Whatever will be, will be," and leave certain things to destiny. Sometimes we desire something, but it doesn’t come our way. In those moments, our mind says, "It's not meant to be," and we let go of it, moving forward. However, these thoughts often stop us in our tracks. When we fail to achieve something we want, our spirits are crushed, and we think we can never attain our goals.

A Year's Reflections. Content Warning.
I was reflecting on the last year of my life. Last December, I was doing everything I could do to try to protect myself and my children from the threat that I couldn't let anyone know about. I had a couple of women's shelters saved on my phone and had a "go bag" packed and hidden so that I could flee at a moment's notice. I tried my best to play my part correctly - I was a good Christian wife who needed to submit to her husband after all. I was devastated on New Year's Eve when after I had put in so much work over the holidays and twisted myself up into a pretzel to attempt to not get physically hurt, that my partner didn't even care to celebrate the launch of my 3rd book. We had just watched the movie he wanted to watch: Free Guy. But, it was never going to be enough from me and I accepted it as the last piece of my heart shattered as he just shrugged off my accomplishment.

"The Importance of Critics"
"The Importance of Critics" Critics hold a significant place in our lives, and this is something we must acknowledge. They play a vital role in pointing out our mistakes, shortcomings, or areas that require improvement. Whether their intention is to belittle us or to genuinely help us can sometimes be hard to discern. However, their presence undeniably serves as a source of motivation for us to move forward and improve.
