All you need is Love, and Love is all you need.
Saved By Him
Have you ever asked you friend that silly comment: “If you and him was the last people on earth” …? It’s a funny notion being the last two being on earth also a bit of a stretch but when you truly think about it when you are in love you are the only two in the world.

Shipwrecked
It was summer on the island when they met. Jenna was fresh out of college, eager to start nursing school in the fall. Her last minute decision to ditch the summer internship she had been consumed with landing for her entire college career and instead spend the time working in her uncle’s small town pharmacy had lifted an invisible weight from her shoulders she hadn’t been aware she was even carrying. She felt free to finally be herself for the first time that she could remember. When she left the house that day, she was blissfully unaware that the next person she met, would alter everything she knew about life in ways she could never have imagined.

With Love and Salt;
We are but passing ships, you, and I... Still, I hope somehow this finds you well. Many believers tell me that I am the fortunate one, to have seen so many parts of the world so early on in life. They speak with envy and jealousy on their lips, longing to know how I managed to cut myself free from the same weights they choose to let hold them down. In some ways they are right. I have been fortunate in many things. My eyes have beheld many beauties. I am not weightless as they say, but I chose a long time ago that some things are better left behind. Life is too short to weary yourself with things that do not truly matter to you. Or at least this is what I tell myself to wash away the sting of guilt. Too bad salt water only makes the sting worst. But time is too precious to be anchored to one thing. This is what I have chosen to believe to make all these years spent out at sea more bearable. Sometimes my feet miss the ground, but then I see a faraway ship on the horizon and my feet become restless, longing to go out and meet it.

The Ship That Took My True Love Away
Southampton, England April 1912 “I wish you didn’t have to go,” I say. Matthew hugs me tightly to his chest, as if he never wants to let me go. Tears form in my eyes and I take a deep breath to try and keep them at bay. I want to be strong for him, for both of us.

The Gift
452 B.C. I chose a beautiful day to end my life. The sun was shining brightly in the sky, warming my skin as a gentle breeze caressed my face. The dirt path was lined with early spring blooms, their petals spread wide, as if they couldn’t resist the pull of the sun. The grass was swaying in the wind on the rolling hills as I winded my way up to the rocky cliff. In the distance, a donkey lazily pulled a cart filled with a merchant’s wares.

The Sweetest Darling Loves
My Sweetest Love, The days have been long since you left. The yellows and greens of the fields don’t seem as bright, and the waves sparkle a little less. I watch the horizon every morning from my attic window, just high enough to see a glimpse of the shimmering water in the bay and pray for your safe return.

Guardian Angels
I spotted him in PSL, the largest lecture hall on campus, which easily holds one thousand students in one room. My first class during my freshman year at Berkeley was Chemistry. He sat alone, with his right leg crossed over his knee, and I could see he didn’t wear socks, just a pair of brown leather topsider boat shoes, and his bare ankles. Though he was only a year older, he looked much older than a lot of the other freshmen there. It was only 8am, but his face already sported an after-five shadow.
