Whether written centuries ago or just last year, literary couples show that love is timeless.
Do You Really Want To Know?
I first saw it sticking out of his back pocket, just the edges of it. He got up from pizza when we heard a drip... I was watching him look under the sink for a leak, appreciating one round cheek under his worn out, pink showing through string-bare butt jeans- then noting the other side was dense, flat and hanging low. Not a wallet, I clocked it. And after that, each time I looked, it was always in there.

The Little Black Book
The fog was thick within my heart from the memory of dad. I can still see him handing me his black book from his death bed. I would have never known what was instore for me after that. The thought feeds deep inside of my internal female affections for what would come to me in life. My blessed life is cursed with love, money, and fortune all from this little black book from that night.

The Last Thing Beatrice Did
9:01 a.m. On top of the empty styrofoam container from Sunshine China sat another containing a half-eaten hoagie from Dom’s. The screensaver on her laptop lulled her to sleep, the Herschel’s Warehouse logo bouncing around the screen, just barely missing the corners on its unending course. She wondered if it would ever land directly in a corner. “8-ball, corner pocket!” she whispered aloud, then giggled.

Little Black Book
Little Black Book Behold, the beginning of a new and beautiful world, emerging from the ashes of the old, figuratively speaking of course. No one can really remember the old, and to be honest I don’t think anyone wants to. Though no one could remember, there is this dark disturbing feeling one gets from thinking back further than yesterday. I don’t know how you feel about it, but I think some things should just be left in the past. Nevertheless, godly men, and women, rose in this new day and you could feel it in the air. There was one specific man that spent his whole life looking for one pure soul, and with that pure soul he’d be able to… we’ll get to that. They called this man Sonnie and Sonnie was a man of the people and for the people.

NEVER LOOK PAST
A boat load of asterisk worthy words fell out of the normally calm and peaceably minded, Ben's mouth as he threw his apron to the ground and gave it a few stomps for good measure. In the background, the grizzly and bellowing voice of the cook echoed through the door and spilled into the alley, "and don't ever come back"! Ben could almost hear the splash in surround sound as he felt his heart fall into the pit of his stomach. This is the third job this month that I lost. "I feel so worthless", were the words that he muttered after this thought.

Our Romance Was A Shallow One...
"I wish I was dead sometimes. Then again, there is apart of me that knows once I am dead, I would not know that I was. Perhaps instead, I often wish that I could understand that my life was over and want to do nothing of it? What would it feel like to not want to save myself? What was this feeling again?

Is this the end?
My head is pounding, and rubbing my fingers into my temples is doing nothing to ease it. Another miserable therapy session over that’s probably not much use to my crumbling marriage. Robbie still doesn’t understand why I work so much, and I still don’t understand why he can’t help more around the house. There’s still no solution to stop our arguments turning into slanging matches and ending with tears and slammed doors. The lift doors open with an annoyingly cheerful chime and I step in, Robbie silently sloping in behind me.
