humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
Naughty or Nice
"Tis the season to be holly, jolly and happy. That's what the seasonal songs say, right? Well, one thing that isn't mentioned as much is gratitude; in conjunction with that is generosity. These are things we should practice all year long. The question is with all that is going on globally around us as well as locally, what can we do?

HOW(AND WHY) I FORGIVE...WHITE PEOPLE
I like my bubble and I have for many years. I'm one of those people that has enjoyed being alone with my family and close friends. The necessity of sheltering in place has sharpened the focus of the world in which we have allowed to develop around us. In my bubble, I began to get more remote work as an artist and I was able to spend more time with my new baby and husband. But can you remember what it was like before COVID? In my mind it blurred together something like this:

Just let me introduce myself.
Hello... my name is Nessy. Well, that's the adult manifestation of the childhood nickname I hated with all my being. I. Could. Not. Stand. It. Nessy, the other spelling must from this moment be forever put away, was the utter delight of the bane of this litter sister's existence... the previous baby girl's jealousy. That's an entirely different story. I had what I thought was a typical childhood. Two parents. Six siblings. Grandparents. A dog. A few Ill-fated tadpoles. Neighbors that I loved... and still miss... in a hamlet called Wyandanch on Long Island in the 70's. I was THAT kid... at least until 1977. There's a few stories behind that, too. Isn't it ironic how much those kids annoy me now? (insert snort)

Doing things for the homeless
There were so many times when I passed by a homeless person holding up a sign that read some type of story about their life to some that were just simple yet still heartbreaking. It really makes me wonder how people can be the way that they are. Whether they are the homeless man on the street or the person walking by them trying to avoid eye contact. Then there are others who tend to give big. When we see that we might think “oh thank goodness that person is helping them. and they gave them a lot of whatever is was that was given”. However, I believe these moments are few and far between. This make me wonder, is there anything we can do when we don’t have anything? My family grew up not having much. My dad worked all the time to provide for us and we didn’t rely on any assistance. But that’s it. We just made enough to get by.

Self Love: Intrapersonal Relationships
Intrapersonal and Interpersonal Relationships Everywhere we look, there are many relationships happening around us. This is not referring to the intimate relationships that are sucking their faces and tasting each other in public places. While they may be one type of relationship, we have to observe the other relationships that are just as important as the romantic relationships.
