humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
Communication is key to stopping a cycle of violence
November 2nd, 2016 exactly one year 79 days since my older brother's life was taken over a half-ounce of weed. I turned 18 six months in May earlier that year. Just bought my first new vehicle, quit my job to go back to high school, got a lady and good friend with me. Life was decent, reacted in a positive way to my brother's passing. Setting a great example for my family. Now the NBL world series is on and it is Chicago Cubs VS Cleveland Indians Top of the 9th game 7 tied up 6-6… Not even a big baseball fan but this legendary game and moment in sports so got my interest. Chicago hasn't won a World Series in 108 years, and they have their chance for some big swings. The pitcher hit many fouls, the first batter walked to first base. Then all of a sudden the softest, the quietest knock happens at my front door. Chicago Cubs' reputation was on the line, just as much as my life...

Priceless Good Deeds
I’ve never had the lavish lifestyle, my mother always made sure I had what I needed and if she could, she would try to get something I wanted. But the most valuable thing my mother gave me was a lesson, never think you are better than anyone, always treat everyone with respect and kindness. I watched for years as my mother didn’t always have money to spare but she was always helping others. If she saw someone struggling she never hesitated to help, but I have also seen a few people take advantage of my mothers’ kindness. This never once caused her to become bitter, she still has the biggest most kindest heart I’ve ever known.

A good deed that I will never forget.
During the Pandemic I was desperate to find a job...For my family. I was willing to work full time on a commission job. No hourly pay just commission. I was gone most of the day. I remember the latest time I came home from work was nearly 1 in the morning. I missed the last bus home and had no choice but to walk home.

Why You Should Break Up with a Partner Who Doesn’t Give You Gifts
Everyone has a different dating style. Some of us move fast, while others take their time. Some people focus on enjoying the moment, and there are also those obsessed with planning the future. Certain individuals date for a reason and others prefer not to think about tomorrow. Do you like labels? You might, but a potential match may not. We are all very different people.

2020
Only a few more days of the year and this is when most people reflect on how the past 12 months have been. What they have done, what they haven't, and even what they could have done. This past year was dark for the entire world. As I have started to reflect, I have made sure to focus on one key point - the silver lining. The biggest silver lining of 2020 is that our shared experiences are bringing us together.

A sunrise went to work with me
In early December of 2020 I was working for a remodeling company, renovating a bathroom for a manufacturing company in the middle of rural Opal, VA. Normally when going in to work meant I'd meet the guys at the truck and we'd drive to the site, but this one Friday the other guy was out of town so it was just the boss and me and he said I could pick up the truck in town or just drive straight to the jobsite and we'd work out of his truck. I punched in the address and it turned out to be ten whole minutes faster to drive straight to the jobsite, and with a couple other variables in mind I opted for skipping the truck.

Every Other Day
Rachel is a shy girl. Simple, talented and kind but the one thing she can't do is love herself. No other reason than she doesn't know how to. Living with her mother and sister hadn't helped her confidence as they didn't believe in themselves but couldn't even try to help her.

What if I won the lottery
Living in Las Vegas, my family and I would play the lottery in Primm, Nevada at least once a month. We all know the odds of winning the grand prize are monumentally against us, but what can you say? We have all fantasized at least once or twice about what we would do with hundreds of millions of dollars if not a billion dollars won over night and it is incredibly fun. Nowadays though, instead of just playing the state lottery. I very recently opened a savings account with Yotta savings. For those of you unfamiliar with Yotta, every $25 you have deposited in their savings account will earn you one ticket to their weekly lottery. However unlike the regular lottery, you don't lose any money. The funds you have held in their savings account will stay there until you decide to withdrawal them. Also I am not sponsored by Yotta savings in anyway shape or form. I just wanted to get that out there. Back to the topic at hand though. Today I want to talk about both my responsible side, and my irresponsible side with those winnings.
