For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
Places on My Body
ty well of dream juice or at least that’s how it felt sitting in my mind . I kept trying not to bite my cracked lips or anything that felt like I could rip off of my body or change the course of. There must be more to this. I thought, there had to be more to it. Why the hell is this all playing out this way? Why can’t I just be done with this? I started to look for all of the places on my body that itched to shift where my pain and irritation lives in my body.

My Sylvia
No matter what you think at the end of this, don’t feel sorry for the old man. Once I saw him scream at a child for scuffing his fine leather shoes while he brushed past amongst the throng of workers dragging themselves toward the roaring steel foundry at the center of town. I remember the white tracks that the young boy’s tears cut across his grimy cheeks as the old man shook him, raging about the vermin offspring of the city’s disenfranchised, the criminals and the hookers and the addicts. I half expected him to eat the boy alive.

The Art Cafe
A few months ago while on a mini vacation, I went to visit an old psychic woman in Egypt who was rumored to be fairly accurate with fortunes involving finance. I had come across twenty thousand dollars and had no idea how to use it but maybe her powers might have some insight if I only asked, so I did. She told me she couldn’t see anything other than a child in my future but nothing else. Apparently, children mean purity which can also mean accurate or real. She explained that visions of children also block all psychic ability which is why she couldn’t pick anything else up from “the other side”. Since there was no other message she simply explained that I should be on a look out for a child of some sorts and see if they have an answer to my problem if they should ever arise. I thanked her, paid her the fee she charged then left.

Black and White
I’m feeling a little raw today. I keep going through the motions of putting dishes away and turning the steering wheel, but I could very well be sitting in an alien’s medical lab and not know the difference. It’s not like today is any different. It’s just I had a bad dream.

Power of Heart
It was a dark and dreary day as Jacob walked down the street. The sun had shined brightly in his heart, but everywhere he looked there was only gray around him. A glimmer caught his eye from far in the distance, as a field mouse ran across an open spot way in the back of the yard.
