humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
Love without love
When I reached my home, I could not see my wife anywhere. I searched the whole house; calling for her but did not hear from her nor see her. I called her friends and family to find out whether she went to visit them or sheared anything with them about going out but still found her nowhere.

However, I may not be surprised much at all to know yall didn't know the two word hyphanated phrase, nor that it is indeed a color. Well, it is indeed a specific hair color and it has influenced the entirety of my life. Toe-Head : the lightest of platinum blondes & usually associated with children, a white-headed youth. Now yall wont find that definition in a dictionary, and for readers under 35, thats not on wikipedia or google. Yet. Thats my definition based on a lifetime of experience.

I’m Deaf And I Can Hear Your Ignorance. Let’s Fix That!
“You can’t be deaf, you just heard what I said” One of the most common misconceptions about deaf people is that we can’t hear anything. While for some of us that is completely true, a large percentage of us have some degree of residual hearing. There are 4 levels of hearing loss: mild, moderate, severe, and profound. Even those with some degree of profound hearing loss might be able to hear something if it’s loud enough. At the opposite end of that spectrum, those with mild hearing loss will hear much more, but their hearing loss still interferes with their day to day life. For me, in a quiet room, I can hear that you’re talking to me, but I cannot hear what you’re saying to me. So here I will rely on my hearing aids to give you a boost, and lipreading too.

Duck Hunting On Acid
Striker’s Bay is an odd mix of the gentrified white upper middle class, the godlike super rich once a year visiting Bay Area celebrities and the blue collars that drown themselves in debt and then bust their asses to maintain a lifestyle they rarely ever get to enjoy. And an army of poor that arrive daily to service the residents, but don’t actually live here themselves. Despite the deep deep pockets living here much of the surrounding waterways began in the 1850’s when near slave-like Chinese labors were used to build the levees that would eventually create the channels and canals so prized for boating, fishing, water skiing, and jet skis, and various other water sports now.

What Generation Are We?
My kids were born in 2013 and 2019 (yeah, about a month ago), so which generation do they fall into? According to some online time-killing I did, the most recent generation is known as Generation Z, the Post-millennials, people who were born after 1997. They are the always-on generation. For them, technology like iPhones and high-speed wi-fi come as standard. They grew up in a world where the internet has always existed and only have a very faint memory of what a dial-up connection was.

Serenata
In a blanket of colours as vibrant as a Chagall masterpiece, as far as the eye can see, lay carpets among carpets of tulips. A grand gesture made by a very grateful Dutch Royal family for providing them with protection during WWII and liberating their nation from Nazi occupation.

Exit Seventeen
The only thing I've acquired through the years while working overtime is the paycheck, I earn twice a month. My wife was never really fond of that notion, in fright and lunacy, that something horrendous would inevitably happen to me when I drive back home in the deepest hours of the night. She made me consider the possibility of our daughter Lucy growing and maturing without a father. However, I have to keep the pot boiling to ensure a viable future for the three of us. At least, that was my mindset before what eventuated a couple of weeks ago. That very night, my life crumbled into countless pieces, which still eats at me every damn night.

Minimalism and Numismatics
by Numinimist I started loving old coins when I was ten, after my grandma gave me a Morgan silver dollar and a couple Franklin halves, and my grandpa gave me a Whitman album to hold Lincoln cents minted since 1941. I picked through pennies over many months to fill all of the album's slots that I could, even finding some wheaties from the '10s, '20s, and '30s that I ended up putting in 2x2 cardboard holders. Until I went to college, I collected mostly average circulated coins and a few common-date marginally uncirculated (slider) coins that would not interest real collectors.
