humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
Humanizing Humanity
It’s funny how memory works—I remember leaving America on the Clipper Ferry. It’s a smaller boat that holds about 300 people. You board near downtown Seattle and landed right in downtown Victoria. During the three-hour boat ride from literally from one world to another… I went outside on my own to just breathe a bit. I looked back at the world that was responsible for building me up until this point… It wasn’t my country; it felt like I didn’t even really have a country now. I took another break. Then, I to looked forward. Into the depths of no man’s land I stood, with the ocean beneath me. I didn’t know how to swim then—but I do now.

Passions That Have No Bounds
My son Ryan, oh I love him to the moon and back. He was born on October 8, 2005 and was a little sweetie. He did cry alot but loved the vacuum cleaner running so I would turn that on to I guess calm or sooth him and he would stop. Milestones came quickly for him and I thought oh this one is going to be so darn smart. There was an issue with one of the milestones though we would come to find out... his talking..

What's The Word?
Pens and pencils; the simple tools that have been used since human beings began communicating with one another. On the surface, they don’t appear to create anything as sexy as the ostentatious oak carvings created by sculptors and carpenters. Pens and pencils don’t beat steel into sharpened blades after escaping the white-hot flames of a furnace. No. Pens and pencils cannot achieve these incredible feats. However, these seemingly innocuous utensils emerge ubiquitous in every corner of every culture. These glorious gizmos create civilizations and eviscerate empires. Persuade people and manipulate minds. Lacerate with lies and triumph with truth… no matter how terrifying that truth may be. This poor fool attempts to master the craft of the abstract, word.

The Dream of a Lifetime
The Dream of a Lifetime Bringing Journalism to You! I wanted to enter the challenge because I am a retired person who has an abundance of time and lot of ideas about how I want to help others. The concept I have is to create a place for people to journal. It is something like this concept of Vocal. As a writer, I found out that vocal presents an avenue for me to receive weekly prompts to write about my ideas and feelings about various interesting subjects. Before the pandemic, I was able to volunteer at a senior recreation center as a teacher of students who wanted to journal. for two months, I was able to engage with people who wanted to write about their challenges navigating through life. I am passionate about any form of writing. As I have stated, vocal allows me to keep writing an activity that I am extremely passionate about. These activities fuel my desire to continue writing and finish things that I have already begun in my hope to find readers to engage with in the world. My plan for my project is to engage with people who wish to journal in the hopes to get them to realize larger goals. some of the students in my class wanted to know more about the creative process of writing. In fact, a few of them wanted to learn how to begin writing their memoirs. By no means do I think that journaling should be confined to the elderly. I want to open these classes for people of all ages. Their all many benefits of journaling. One of them is the fact that it is a stress-free activity that cannot be extremely therapeutic. The physical act of journaling provides a heathy benefit as well. It enables the body to connect to the brain and send signals which provide a healthier body. Journaling also can help organize feelings we have about your family and friends. You can get a chance to put in writing how you really feel about people. Some of your feelings go unsaid but can be written down in your journal and discarded later if you wish. A journal also gives you a chance to write about family traditions in the hopes of leaving a legacy for future generations. Writing by hand can have similar benefits to medication. In an article called the simple joy of writing by hand, Barbara bash writes it is something about the physical act the holding of the hand and pen that is meditative, bringing me to the present. Also, writing by hand can help enhance creative expression. A journal can help work out self-doubts frustrations uncertainties or other feelings that are part of the creative process. The rhythm of and flow of journaling is handwriting with words which allows you to be calmer, and focused. It is an activity which is extremely soothing.

Unforeseen Influence
I hate my dad! He's never taught me anything. He never showed me how to be a man, a husband or a father. Due to him being uneducated and having divorced parents he had no ability to teach me these things. Also due to his battles throughout my childhood with drug and alcohol abuse he couldn't even teach me how to be a good person at all. This is the narrative that I've been fighting against my entire life. Him constantly apologizing for not being able to help me with my homework. Him constantly telling me that I am a good dad in spite of him and not because of him.

LET US LOVE
Some days it’s as if I’m being chased down like a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. I’m not any more special than yourself. I often laugh with friends until my sides feel tight and my cheeks hurt. When I’m unwell my mind and body ache too. I have never been popular nor outcasted but kind of just floating through exsitence in search of unconventional meaning beyond our perceived reality. We have homes, cars, hot and cold water, and even reusable spacecrafts. Basically any fabricated material item has been upgraded and remarketed. Cyber war has not even peaked and here we have instant gratification disguised as the phone in your hand a clear attack on humanity ignored by the many. And let’s not talk about the obvious race war that proganda fuels day in and day out. What will your children do when you are dead and so is the world as we know it? Will they have the skills to grow from the land or hunt in the wild to feed themselves? Will they have the faith and perseverance to continue on in the unruly forth coming madness? We must prepare and mechanically revert and spiritually elevate ourselves and our children to keep the people in charge. The government wants us dependent on their time, energy, and money and limit the information we can receive in deceptive efforts of control. During the past year of pandemic theatre more than a quarter of our population stayed inside of their homes without leaving whatsoever. Industries began to collapse with the increase of supply and demand on certain goods allowing the majority’s true colors to shine bright piss yellow with greed. The brainwashing is in full effect and the only way to fight against it is to become unreliant on public goods and energy. My passion must be clear by now I want to educate, learn with, and love on every person this planet holds. I am no expert but passion is usually fueled by chaos and you learn as you go. I wake up to clean fresh air with no noise or light pollution. All free of rent or mortgage while having running water, plumbing, and electricity with no recurrent monthly bills owed to any public entity whatsoever. I grow many fresh organic fruits and vegetables that could easily feed my family if we weren’t able to grocery shop. And by next Spring we won’t have too with plans of livestock swiftly coming together. My fulfillment would come full circle with honest exposure. I’m not here to expose the government they easily do that themselves. I’m here to shed light and share the freedom my heart ached for and now blissfully possesses. This lifestyle is accessible to anyone willing to work hard to afford sustainability for themselves now and later descendants to come. Walking away from a institutionalized conformity government infrastructure and into a lifestyle made for you by you. Since I gained control of my life and moved away from big city commotion my health, wealth, and spiritual gains have not haulted but continually exceed expectations. I’m only at the beginning of my journey but with due diligence and honest intentions I know my goal of a fully self sustaining eco-friendly homestead will not only stand the test against time for future generations but also inspire others to do the same for their own famailies. My goal is to make suburbia seem unconventional in comparison to my lifestyle. In agreement or not I hope you find encouragement to do what feels like home to you and do it purely out of love. When it felt too late to start over I realized each day the sunrises my pursuit in happiness continues on. Godspeed.

Hope
The Dream My dream is to be a full-time author. A dream I am sure I likely share with many of those I hope will read this and identify with it. There will be times in the following piece where I say "I" but I mean "We" and you can decide for yourself when and where that applies.

Life as a Wonder
Everyone has a point where they just give up. Mine was at 16. My family was far from ideal, religion I didn't understand and relations that seemed alien to me, my intellect was bothersome, though not in the typical way, but above all, I saw the world in a way I couldn't explain to others, but I definitely tried to figure out why.

Members Only
The first twenty years of my life were dramatically easier than my second twenty. As I near my 40th birthday, I am forced to reflect on how my life has gone so far. To many, it may look like a scattered mess. To a fellow ENFP (as in the personality type), I am right on track. I follow my gut and my heart to creative endeavors that line up with my personal beliefs. I have owned and operated my own business since I was 25 years old and have done many different educational courses to keep my skills current, and my advice on point.

A Passion for Diversity
Passion has been defined as “a strong feeling or emotion” and “a strong liking or desire”. If this is the case, my life has had many passions. I am full of strong feelings and emotions. I have taken a strong liking to many activities and subjects in my life. One of my biggest passions has been to learn and to grow as a person. But there is perhaps one larger passion.
