humanity
For better or for worse, relationships reveal the core of the human condition.
BRAVE LADY
I remember when I was first diagnosed. I had that split second when I opened my eyes in the morning thinking the MS wasn’t there. Then the truth hit. It was then the first thing, I thought of each morning. And the last thing I thought of before, I fell asleep.

Goodbye to my Home Country
“Buenos Aires, 1976 Dear Jorgita, Having attended your organ recital, your uncle and I feel that you deserve the opportunity to study abroad and would be happy to pay for your plane ticket to the United States whenever you are ready to take on this new adventure.

My cancer test and my mom's eyes filled with emotions
I don't know from where to start and what to write and even when I try to speak with my mom everything would be ok and fine but her eyes are filled with emotions for his 24year old young child just going through this.

Towards Autonomy
Change Your Mind Watching the above video content will give you my perspective on the effect our thoughts have on creating our reality. My understanding of this comes from my study of religious texts, metaphysical texts (some may understand this to be redundant), quantum physics, and Jungian psychology.

Embracing Loneliness During the Holidays
The holiday season is almost here and it’s stressful for anyone to figure out what to do during this time of year. Thanksgiving is a time to be thankful for the things and people we’re happy for. However, there are others who either don’t have any family to spend time with or aren’t accepted by their families because of their sexual orientation. Growing up, my family and I would eat some great food and watch the yearly Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving game. Over the last several years on Thanksgiving, I would either go to a friend’s house or simply enjoy this day alone. My parents and I have been estranged for over a decade and I’ve experienced physical and verbal abuse in my childhood. Not only that, but also the early parts of my adult years.

More to Me than Winning
I have always had a complicated relationship with softball. Well, perhaps not always. I can faintly remember a time where playing softball was an expression of my youth--a period that felt like limitless potential for growth. In my deeper memories, I am surrounded by other kids whose uniforms are entirely too big and who had snot dripping from their noses (though, I always seemed to be the snottiest somehow). That was a simple enough time; we didn’t know much of anything, and so little was expected of us. We were a recreation league team, full of girls with varying experience. If not for the choice our parents made to stick us in a team together, I’m not sure some of us would have ever met at all. Looking back, there is something nice about that. In no way were we actually very talented at this sport, but we showed up anyway and learned.

Don’t be scared of your 30s
"Thirty, flirty and thriving." The movie "13 going on 30" came out in 2004, I was 17 years old. At the time I thought 30 was so far away, but looking back time really flew by. I figured I would be a dinosaur by the time I reached that age. Society has a way of making you believe that by the time you hit 30 your life is basically over if you don't have it all together. In this day and age that just isn't true.

Do Dreams Have a Genuine Meaning In Real Life?
I believe that it is possible to take lessons or deduce from dreams. In my opinion, our subconscious mind creates dreams with the goal of eliciting emotions from any image that would work. To express this sentence, you can feel trapped sometimes in life, and perhaps you may be willing to experience something new but it can make you feel afraid for various reasons. Then, your subconscious would look at those various fears and concoct one that most aligns with the fear you would try to block. So, stereotypically maybe the room is closing in on you; you are falling from too high; you are running down on an endless corridor or whatever will get the feeling across.
