Thanksgiving Day 2008 “Day with a Dolphin” So my mom forgot Janet’s birthday back in June and asked me what Janet wanted. Well, one of the things Janet’s wanted since she was 8 was to swim with dolphins. So I said “she’s always wanted to swim with dolphins.”

The Art of Going Alone
I will always remember the date 21st October 2017. This is when I went to my first concert alone. Concerts, strangely, are not somewhere people normally consider going alone. Well, not at the ripe age of 21 anyways. However, I happened to have booked to see Zara Larsson, whom I was definitely not missing coming to Manchester, and unfortunately did not find anyone else in the end to go with.

When I read the plethora of articles about life and work it seems success is primarily measured in dollars. There seem to be countless articles admonishing people to quit the drudgery of their day jobs that apparently are the only thing holding them back from fame and fortune. I think that in the end, dollars make up only a tiny fraction of one's success in life.

When do I get to show up?
First and probably last over the weekend journaling I’ll do. This is actually my journal entry for today, to which I only do throughout the week and never on the weekend. It’s Sunday and I’m up early, went to bed pretty early last night. Engaged in some self-love care, enjoying the crisp morning air and stillness in the house. I’m drinking some chlorophyll water and realized I’m still lying to myself. It’s been 10 yrs give or take and I’m still not connecting with why I’m so awkward, so inept, feeling uneasy, unfinished.

The Power of Saying 'No'
There is nothing wrong with saying ‘No’ to someone else. Saying ‘No’ has a negative connotation but it can be worth its weight as much as saying ‘Yes.’ There is a main reason why we have both ‘Yes’ and ‘No’ in English language vocabulary. There are times in our life when we can say ‘yes’ but we also have to moderate our impulse to say, ‘yes’ to things, people, and other commitments by balancing it out with the ‘no’s.’ As much as we like to say ‘yes’, it’s important to know that saying ‘no’ is just as important and even just as powerful.

I've Made a Deal With My Body...

There are a lot of moving parts and adjustments being made, and due to losing taste/smell I currently only have a small group of safe foods.
