friendship
C.S Lewis got it right: friendship is born when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one!"
Mr. Mayor
When I think back to my first day as a Property Manager, I can't help but cackle at how naïve I was. My new boss had told me to jump into the deep end with my goggles on and hope that I could keep my head above the water. Reassuring, right? She wasn't kidding though. I almost didn't survive the first week.

The Next Round
How is one to spend their time during the six months of frigid temperatures and secondhand sunshine that New England deigns to call a “season”? By imbibing of course! Nothing says “Winter in Boston” quite like enjoying a pint or five of your favorite brew with fellow booze enthusiasts, but I’ve always wondered… do they share in my pining for a night of swilling to become something more? Consumption is the premise, but with each sip of the suds, I find my longing to veer off course into a clandestine escapade increases tenfold. Such was the case on the night of February 12, 2021.

To Believe, or Not to Believe
Passion was my benefactress. Neither Chance nor Fate can take credit for what happened to me this January, though it is human nature to believe in such things. The need to assign an author to the events of our lives has spurred many religions and belief systems, so I don’t blame myself too much for my strayed way of thinking the past few weeks. It took believing in both of those allusive deities to get to where I am now.

An attempt was made...
Bing! Tom pondered over whether to add quotation marks to the sound of the computer telling him he had a new email. Do quotation marks require actual words? Does the speaker need a soul? He didn’t know, didn’t look it up, and didn’t add them in.

Confidant: (n.)
Something about being a confidant brings fullness to life. The shame one shows you, the things one would never say out loud, intimately entrusted into your care cultivates deep connection. It opens eyes to a deeper sense of humanity, grace, and wisdom. To trust a confidant is to trust a foundation on which vulnerability and honesty create healing and build a sense of home only found in one another. This trust engrains memories of tears, pain, and laughter. It is a journey of a pair, documented, for all of time, special to the two of you.

She's just a girl and...
Upon stumbling on this challenge, I did a bit of research on my sign. Something significant enough for other people to find any kind of value in while reading. Just a few days ago my coach and mentor gave me a task to share a gratitude peace for the week. I moved across the world (literally) in pursue of my dream and all these things others find inspirational, I find “normal”. It was just how my life was and how my life is. But now, combining that gratitude peace with this small note of my zodiac sign, Leo, I decided to combine it into one. For my coach, for the readers but most importantly for myself. At least for once since I’ve moved countries.

My Paris "Office"
“Are you in your office,” my sister asked in her half-mocking tone. “I am,” I replied, acknowledging the vague olive branch she was extending. I’ve always taken personal calls, sometimes even professional ones, while in the bathroom and she’s teased me about it since we were kids. That’s all she ever did, tease me.
