friendship
C.S Lewis got it right: friendship is born when one person says to another: "What! You too? I thought I was the only one!"
Three Birds, One Fowl
Three birds congregate in the meadow to woo the likings of one fowl. The first bird, a strong hawk, is so sure of himself. He confidently assumes a stance of magnificence, much like a great marble statue. He is an idol, influential, yet dominating.

Tough Love Can Make You Whole Again: From Denial to Raw Truth in One Session
Tough love is more loving than having your feelings spared while you keep self-sabotaging yourself. People who tell you the truth do it to help you. The ones who spare your feelings do it to help themselves.

The Lost Scrolls of Nestor & Tinka 2022
Getting warmed up The first Sunday morning, one of our favorite age-old traditions is 'the song' with our friends The Dregs at 9:30 AM. Right before the song begins, we are playfully warming up our voices. Nestor sings, "mi mi mi," and it slowly becomes an ego-maniacal, "Me. Me. Me...Me!"

The Song She Sings
She grew up in a world of chaos, a world that didn't care. Each step she took, every deep breath, countless fake smiles she wore on her face. This was her life. Dreams of a world that cared for her, because she gave so much of herself, became farther and farther away. Love poured out of her soul and gave peace to those around her. "A breath of fresh air" is how she was described. If only they knew the pain she wore inside, the tears she kept hidden, and the exhaustion she fought every step she took. At night she'd pray, she'd pray for happiness and for love, she'd pray for comfort and peace. What does one do when they were taught to give to others, to be selfless and kind, to be the person that other people dreamed they could be?

Scour Your Mind
How many times do you have to tell people to pick something up, throw something away, or just clean up?! If you are a mother, then it seems like you do this every moment of every day. If you are a father, same thing. However, what happens if you are just a married woman who spends the majority of her days working? What then? What happens when your brain goes so fast that you just don't know how to physically catch up?

Gone to The Stars
The dragon had always been fine with being lonely. That's just something he's lived with all his life. He watched as other dragons came and went; none of them dared talk to him or even look at him. He was black with red scales, and that meant he was the most dangerous dragon. He was, but he would never actually try to hurt anyone. No one ever seemed to understand that. No dragon, no person—nobody ever understood that. He tucked his wings in and continued walking. It was weird for dragons to walk, but he couldn't see below the treetops and didn't want to get his wings damaged.

Renaissance Festival War Stories: The Lost Scrolls 2022
Just as the cannon fires Sunday morning, I want to run a quick errand. I say, "I want to be back in 10 minutes." Jacqueline literally sets her clock and says, "Go." I don't think I need to run, but I should have known better. There is something about the time warp that is the festival grounds. I speed walk to where I need to go, but get stopped by friends on the way. I try to get through my salutations quickly. I go to the honey booth, but that vendor is always kind too and that always leads to conversation. I make my purchase and b-line back to the booth. I am stopped about 20 feet before the booth by my friend Greg who says he has something for me. This.. .

The Key to Win a Man’s Heart
The key to win a man’s heart is… The key to winning a man's heart is knowing what he wants and giving it to him. It is also important to show interest in the things they are interested in. Finally, do not try to change them, just let them be themselves.
