family
Family unites us; but it's also a challenge. All about fighting to stay together, and loving every moment of it.
Courage has a Face
Courage has a face. It was one of those Ancient Mariner moments. Never to be forgotten. In a rural town the annual show was in top gear when everyone brought their best to town. Lining up for the ‘best burger in the business’, I glanced over to notice a woman seated alone. I could tell at first glance that she was no ‘lady who wore pearls’ kind of farmer.

Be You
Be You There are many articles of clothing. Everyone worries about what to wear on any given day. Truth be told everyone has their style. Bell Bottom jeans have made a comeback. I was wearing regular straight legs. Then one Christmas, my mom bought me my first Lei bell-bottom jeans. I got compliments and never stopped. Sometimes I go back to my old outfits. What I used to wear. I find them super cute. So I'll wear a pair of jeans, a tank top or plain shirt with plaid, or a blouse or a button-down shirt, but only buttoned-down halfway.

A Carpenter's Love
The room smelled of sawdust and glue as the old man’s fingers worked magic into his creations. The room was dimly lit, but it didn’t matter because the man had been at his craft for so long he could do it blindfolded. Wood shavings seemed to fall off his objects at tremendous speeds. If someone were to look at the block of wood before he started his craft they would never have guessed it would become that which he would eventually hold in his hands.

My Friend
We sure missed you yesterday the nurse & the aid said as I walked into the nursing home to start my shift. I asked why and they proceeded to relay the happenings with one of my favorites residents at the home. They told me how my sweet friend was all excited, that she got all dressed up and was looking forward to going out to dinner with her son. He did not show up they said. Yeah they said she waited all day and finally called him at 6:00 to ask when he was coming to take her out of the home for a bit. He said he was busy. My co-workers were still fit to be tied when telling this to me.

Stop Expecting and Start Living Your Lives
We all are living our lives, full of expectations. Any action we perform is bound to have a component of expectation in it. Even if you help a person, your mind will start expecting a return gesture in the future from the same person. And if by chance you are unable to receive the same gesture in return, you tend to develop hatred for the person.

Four Techniques to Enhance Emotional Support and Heal Your Partner
Emotions play an important role when it comes to growing a beautiful, happy, loving and long-lasting relationship. Strong emotional connections support couples in building trust, empathy and deep intimacy. Powerful emotional connections help couples relate to one another through body language. For example, sometimes eye contact with your partner is simply what you need, to see, hear and feel your partner without spoken words. Through strong emotional connections, we can even send thought vibrations to our loved ones.

Not for the faint-hearted...
It was the 5th of August when our world’s first collided. Before that, we existed as completely whole and separate entities. Technically, we still do, but co-habitation undeniably brings with it a grey area, a space where two beings fuse and effortlessly (or effortfully) co-exist.
