family
Family unites us; but it's also a challenge. All about fighting to stay together, and loving every moment of it.
Hijacked For The Holidays
Trasditionally most families love to gather around and spend time together for the holidays. The time my family spends is anything but quality. I swear its like a never ending movie that's forever been stuck on repeat. You could count down on one hand and predict that something is going to happen before it actually does because at this point they are so predictable and its actually ridiculous. But not all my family are knuckleheads. You have a few that can be off the wall sprinkled throughout but we are sane and attempt to get along for the most part.

How dirty is your smartphone?
How dirty is your smartphone? As the owner of a console-based arcade business in Queens Village, New York, known as GameStation, we are no strangers to sanitizing and disinfecting our controllers, systems, chairs, seats, and virtual reality headsets. In fact, we began disinfecting and sanitizing our facility well before COVID requirements. We did this because we understand how germs are transmitted. We recognize that children generally rebel against washing their hands if they don’t see the necessity thus allowing germs and bacteria to rule their lives.

Some People Are Sad During the Holidays
“It’s the most wonderful time… Of the year…” Andy Williams I love that song. I heard it a few days ago while flipping through the radio stations. Traditionally, though Christmas is my favorite holiday, I’ve never been one to start listening to holiday music in the car come mid-November. I just enjoy my normal classic rock music far too much to switch to Christmas songs.

When Love Fails. Runner-Up in Holiday Hijinks Challenge.
It was about twelve years ago, Thanksgiving. Cousin Brittney came in looking haggard and exhausted. She was, at the time, in college; it wasn’t anything noteworthy, until I noticed that her ever-present boyfriend Roger didn’t come with her.

Were You a Better Human as a Child?
With so many recent mass shootings, hate crimes, rampant racism, and bigotry, I’m starting to wonder if people have always been this shitty. Has this deplorable behavior been a constant in the 48 years I’ve been in this world?

NO TURKEY, NO PIE
Murphy's law - if it can go wrong, it will. Over the years, there is a holiday when things tend to go wrong. The holiday is Thanksgiving, It amazes me too. As there is always something to be thankful for. However, when things do go wrong, the cause is almost always something that we have no control over.

Can My Friend Sleep Over While the Nazis Are In Town
The other day, I attended a forty-day memorial of a lady that lived to be 92 years old. She was a sweet lady who never said an unkind word about anyone. She never gossiped behind anyone's back. Instead, she would welcome friends and strangers to her home with a warm smile and a tray full of cookies and sweets. She was my hero. She wasn't an athlete or a stellar student. Nor was she a talented singer or musician. Instead, she excelled by being a friend, to the point of risking her own life.
