I Came Back For You!
I had flown into Montreal on Friday, with the thought that I would enjoy a relaxing weekend in the city instead of spending my Sunday on the road rubbing elbows with other travelers. Then on Monday, after a couple days of local fun, I would attend a meeting scheduled with the bank’s Executive Director of HR, Madame Duclos. As it was a recurring event on the second Monday of each month, traveling to Montreal was a regular experience for me.

Smoke
Isabelle knew there were, at least three, homeless men living behind the library. She didn't want to encourage it, but she had adopted the habit of personally taking her partially eaten lunch out to the dumpster each day. She would talk to herself as she walked the triple bagged sack of barely touched food to the dumpster that sat near the alley.

The Stars and Cinderella
There wasn't much to do in the office - apart from wages once a month and the occasional cash-flow crisis, there rarely is - so I picked up one of the girls’ magazines and my attention was drawn to the astrology column. I found my sign, Cancer, read the prognostication and initially dismissed it as readily as I always had done until that particular day.

The Mystery of Life
"The Mystery of Life" I am about to blow your mind, and this is no exaggeration because what I will reveal in this amazing story will have you say, "Wow!". In fact, this un-common knowledge may even shock you since it has a lot to do with you, personally, and I dare say nobody has ever heard this news before! This mind-boggling information has been kept a secret from human awareness, almost as if it were a hidden treasure holding the key to what powers and compels our natural existence. It's only because of modern advancements in communications such as the Internet and P.C.s, in addition to technological breakthroughs in scientific research equipment, that I can reveal what has been hidden from humanity since the dawn of time. The puzzle pieces are no longer held ransom in shrouded mystery, leading me to believe I have solved life’s riddle!

Sh(un)Common Knowledge
You, my friends, are LIARS! Don’t get offended or too hasty, because I did call you my friends first. I’m a LIAR TOO! We all are. Our parents lied, our grandparents lied and our kids will follow suit. Our leaders, politicians, and preachers ALL LIE! The billboards, the banks, and everything on the News, our businesses, the scientists, and even your boss too.. ALL LIARS! If anyone has ever told you that they don't lie, it is a lie! This is not to pass judgement on anyone. I can assure you that my “liar-liar pants” have been on fire for 36 years. No, this is more of a cordial invite to a dinner party.

Assumptions
Assumptions Let me start off by saying this, I know some females and males but more so females, are not going to like the ending of this, and to that I say, if you don’t like it you most likely did those things to someone you were with and felt it was justified for your reasons. If your reasons are because he cheated on you or he put hands on you whenever he was drunk or mad about something that you didn’t do or say or did say to him then cool I understand. But if you feel what you did was justified because he didn’t give you the attention you wanted, your wrong, you should have left him, period. Even if you did it because you found out he cheated, wrong you should have just left him. There are some things you just don’t do.

The One Drinking the Red
The clock strikes nine. It is the morning of the momentous day and I am sitting in my small apartment, calculating the odds of death by impatience. This is not hyperbole – I am in the throes of a full-blown, anticipatory-anxiety attack. There are nine hours to endure before our scheduled meetup, and they stretch before me in a perspiration- and palpitation-filled time warp of shrinking walls. Will those hours feel longer if I fill them with thoughts of her? It makes no difference; I can think of nothing else.

The Pandemic Shopaholic
It was February 2020, I was told to pack up of my classroom and my students and to vacate the premises until further notice, we are experiencing a pandemic and the state of Georgia has been shut down for 30 days. I immediately thought is this the end I went straight to the grocery store and stocked up on supplies and necessities. When covid-19 was at its peak of contagious spread and there was very little information on the virus and the effects, all stores were shut down except the grocery stores, so I went crazy shopping for supplies and essentials on line. I also had extra time on my on my hands because I was out of work, so I incorporated a workout regimen in my daily routine. I was exercising at least 3 times a week, riding my bike, walking, using my exercise equipment and watching my diet. Well with all my hard work I lost 40lbs and I lost my mind shopping, let me give you a journey of my shopping anxiety.

1 Charles Dickens, “Oliver twist” this was the book she had chosen to read this evening, a far cry from “war and Peace” which her college lecturer wanted an essay on by the following day but hay! When Sophie was feeling low, she loved “Oliver Twist” just reading about those orphans made her reassess her fortunes.
