A Badd Boss Chick

What can I say … I’m a Badd Boss Chick. You got to be dedicated and a fierce chick to walk in my shoes. Why, you dare ask … well, it all started on a warm sunny day in March. You see I was about my business gone take care of some business that only a boss chick like me could handle.

As I walk into my studio to see the setup for the evening show not to be missed by my guest.

I was conducting an exclusive diamond and gold exchange. See, you have to be invited to one of my shows. The show is top notch and exclusively private. As my guest enters they are directed to the food and drink area, which they hurried to take their seats … again not to miss a single moment of the show.

As we list many items behind the glass cabinets that hung on the walls all around the studio, like pieces of art. The night seems to be going over well. Until, one would question the quality of my items. See I rock in this line of business, and only sell to the best of the best, top of the top, ones that come with cash and blacks cards. My buyers never hesitate to make a purchase. Must I remind you again, the diamonds and gold that are in my inventory is top notch, but I have encountered from time to time, one’s that will test my hustle or should I say test my knowledge, trying to stop my flow. I was not having it; too much was on the line tonight and, beside I had too many items that needed to get out of my inventory. There is so much more that needs to be added.

I overheard a gentleman question the quality of my item that‘s when my eyes met his eyes and within seconds. I was right by his side and said, “Yo, sit down bro, have a seat and look through the hourglass and see the purity of my diamonds, my gold has been cured to the utter most of perfection. I’m no slouch in this game. I run this exchange... You must be new here; I don’t remember seeing you at any of my shows, if you have not been schooled. Let me personally introduce you to who I am … I’m that boss chick that will make you the richest or happiest man, than you could ever imagine ... Take notes you might learn something” and just like that, he sat quietly folding his hands together, paying close attention. I guess he just wanted LadyK’s attention and he got just that... my attention!

The very next thing I knew, we were out on our first date sipping on a tall chill glass of Merlot wine laughing it up over dinner at the exquisite restaurant of Eddy’V’s. He was an interesting guy. He was a collector of sorts. He went on and talked about his love of collecting vinyl records that went back as far as the early sixties. He was also a collector of rare coins, which he explained that he had collected from every part of the country and of course he collected rare stones.

See, he wasn’t testing my hustle. He was actually sizing my knowledge of the rarity of my stones.

We met many more times afterwards, hop on planes that took us to the utter ends of the world, in search of precious stones. Now, he’s not only my business partner, he’s my husband.
