Odd One Out
You apply for a job at a fancy hotel. The job calls for a professional individual and doesn't necessarily state no tattoos, but you know the stigma over tattoos and know that you are perfect for this position so you cover up at the interview because, well, it's none of their business. As long as you don't flaunt them and it doesn't impede on your work, it shouldn't matter.

#MyWorstDate
This is when I was much younger, still a teen. (14- 15) I used to hang out at the skating rink, you know where they had some arcade games, some crappy cardboard pizza, bad kids smoking in the corner. Well, I used to hang out with my friends here EVERY weekend, Friday and Saturday nights. One of my friends brought a friend... I don't know if the guy was a friend or a creepy family member, that wouldn't stop hitting on me. He was not a very nice looking guy. Hairy in all the wrong places. Very tall, rather..... large, in many ways. He didn't smell all that great either. But I was a nice kid, I tried to get along with everyone, what did I know? I was young, didn't know much in the ways of dating and boys and such, so I went along with it. He asked me if I wanted to go to a basketball game, with his church group. (I was never really a religious type or church going but what the hey.) At the time I was a little sporty, I played for my township basketball team so I was like, "Sure okay." BIG mistake. The game was after one of my practices, so I got home and took a shower, washed my face, used some of those Clearasil pad things. Gotta keep those pimples away ya know. Anyway, my mom dropped me off at the location of the church where everyone was waiting for the bus to the game.

I'm Her Protector and She’s My Angel
So, I know everything seems like it’s falling apart around me, and the sun is nowhere cuz the rain storm is all over me, yet I got a promise to keep. I know I'm the biggest underdog in this story, but I refuse to not keep my promise. When things ended down there I could have risked it and stayed down there but I had a promise to keep and I had some unfinished business to settle. I could have stayed in my corner, but I had a promise to keep and I refuse to break the one that means the most to me.

What Is Love?
What is love? Love is complex. The term "love" is so loose you can't possibly know the meaning of it from any single definition. The second definition of love can't even describe itself without using the word love. The first goes a bit further by using the term "affection", but even the definition of that is, "a gentle feeling of fondness or liking". Love can't be described, it can only be felt, and I will try to help you feel it with my most recent encounter with love. First I will start from the beginning.

Best Date Ever
“What is the best date that you have ever been on?” It’s funny how she asks this. We were seventeen years old, eight o’clock at night, and we were on the phone, talking about going somewhere, anywhere that night. My mind was full of blanks—indecisive with my words. “I want go eat at Johnny’s, maybe Chili’s. What do you want to do?” She deferred to me, but I wanted her to be happy. I wasn’t the one to coax. I was nervous with this matter of where should we go and if she would be truly happy with the location. This was going to be our first date and I teetered with the thoughts of success and failure. She let out deep sighs that seemed to be frustration on her part. Failure seemed more imminent to me and success seemed to be improbable. I sat up on my bed, while my heart growled every millisecond. A slew of the growls led to heat that compressed my body, I was sweating. I was a mime looking at the mirror on my left, my words wouldn’t come out. “I really like her,” I thought, but that wasn’t enough to remove the thought of failure out of my pessimistic mind. “We can go anywhere Bernensky, anywhere,” she said softly. It was thirty minutes before nine and I broke free from my tenseness. I didn’t want to go far, I just wanted to talk to her face-to-face. I just wanted to see her face because I believed that there was something there that connected between the both of us. She was different, and as I put on my tight, grey jacket, I wished more girls like her existed.

#MyWorstDate ER Edition
A couple of years ago I decided to give online dating a shot and had met a seemingly nice guy for coffee one day. We had a great first date, grabbed coffee, and walked down by the lake. We even had a competition to see how many cute puppies approached us at the park. Fast forward one week, we made plans for a second date. We decided to meet up at the movies to catch a flick. While I was driving there, he kept texting me that he wasn’t feeling well. I would have texted him to suggest we reschedule but obviously couldn’t while driving.

Everything I Want to Say
You are probably wondering why I sent this to you. I don’t want you to feel bad. I want you to know what I wanted to say, what I was feeling, and what I went through. This “story” is one sided because I have no possible way of knowing how you feel or wanted from me. If you want me to know how you feel, then tell me. Don’t leave me in the dark. I still worry about you and want the best for you and if that isn’t me, I will learn to accept that.

My Best Friend's Love
You know how somebody comes into your life and affects it so much that you're not sure what life was without them? My friendship with this girl was like that, but not romantic at all. In fact, the most romantic thing she ever did was sit on my back to pin me down so that I would watch Finding Nemo with her. We were fourteen.
