In The Name Of Jesus; Your Life Is Horrible & You're Going To Hell Because You're Not Christian!
What did Jesus say about spreading the gospel?

I was more devastated than I should've been, a few days an ex-boyfriend (Man), told me to die and resurrect with Jesus and see if he reveals himself. I took this as insulting, as a person who had a strong history with suicide ideation and severe mental health issues.
To add to that I have multiple medical issues, much like my older sister, who appears much healthier and younger than I. She's only 130-140 pounds give or take, she has most of my identical medical issues. However because I'm unmistakably fat, people sum up all my issues to weight.
They also think that these same issues are whats causing my mental health problems, even with mental health being a family aliment.
This ex, who wasn't the kindest or most honest man or partner that he should have been. He was actually horrible, lying about his age about 5-6 different times, having another relationship, where she claimed they were together for 5 years & cheating and lying were always his issues.
He decided to change his life, to renew his relationship with Christianity, apparently. He messaged me to ask how I was, I had him blocked for almost a year. I should not be surprised by his toxic comments about me not being a Christian.
He was always bothered that I was a Buddhist, another discriminatory issue that was rampant living in Ghana. They seem to dislike anyone that isn't a Christian.
I've never experienced a Muslim who insisteded that I would burn forever in Hell if I didn't convert to Islam. I know that there are people like this is the world and in multiple religions. However in almost 50-years of life it seems the Christian thing to do. If someone doesn't tell you, you're headed to Hell then they haven't seemed to complete their Christian goals.
Does this harm and shame work? How many people convert when they're told that they're life is horrible without Jesus?
The passage long identified as the Great Commission is at the very end of Matthew's gospel. Matthew reports that Jesus said, "Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit."
Those words have motivated thousands of missionaries to make a Christian world a reality, but Jesus did not utter them.
Yet countless well-intentioned Christians have set out to do just that, believing that they are following the command of their Lord. They too easily equate proselytizing zeal with evangelical news and making converts to proclaiming the Gospel. That has caused as much pain as it has brought joy.
Jesus, however, did not give the Great Commission to anyone. The evidence is in the Bible.
The Great Commission invokes the language of the Holy Trinity, Father, Son and Spirit, that is implied but found nowhere else in the gospels. The early church baptized converts in the name of Jesus Christ alone, according to the book of Acts.
Trinitarian language evolved along with the conviction that gentiles should be part of this fundamentally Jewish religion.
That's how the Great Commission found its way into the Gospel. The emerging gentile church needed Jesus' authority to convert people of other nations. Matthew, who wrote more than 30 years after the Resurrection, provided it.
To be sure, Jesus had good news to proclaim. He recruited disciples to reap a harvest of lost souls.
Why are people preaching damnation and Hell fire? Why are people telling others that there is no other way in life unless they are Christians? Is this what Jesus would have wanted? We will never know these answers but telling people that they're lives are horrible because they aren't Christians doesn't ever seem like the way, they trurth and the light.

Your ex sounds like a real piece of work. Well written’! And yes, just because you disagree with a Christian doesn’t make you wrong! 💙
