I wrote this in my head at 3am

This morning I woke up at 3 am for some reason and this line kept playing in my head and I would like to share it with you today. The line was that one persons "I am too busy" is another persons "I will make time for you"

I was thinking about all the things we have to do in the same 24 hour time period. And i want to make one thing very clear: I totally understand being tired, burned out, i am not saying i do not understand why someone would not respend right away. And I do get it. I know the saying that we do not know what another person is going through on a daily basis. I do not take that lightly. But I think it is also important to check on our friends. it takes 2.5 seconds! Just type "How are you" It legitamately took me two seconds to type that sentence. So for someone to tell you they are to busy is honestly a load of crap. And what I mean by that is that if someone is busy working: they have lunch breaks, and when you get out of work. There is no excuse to not check on people.

I never want to hear a guy tell me he is to busy, I am writing this while writing a paper for school, I am also on Facebook for some reason and i have emails in the background so that I do not miss anything. I am also listening to music. So if I can do that, you can take 2.5 seconds to check on someone. If someone cannot take 2.5 seconds to check on me I do not want them in my life. I am not saying be glued to your phone, but put in a little effort!

I have had men treat me like shit over the years and I will never allow that again. I deserve so much better then the shit I had. I deserve someone who does more then the bare minimum. So ladies aim higher and do not settle for less. I cannot stress that enough. Do not take lame excuses and remember that if one person will not do something, someone else will! Like i said one persons I am too busy, is another persons I will make time. Do not take that crap from people.

I expect more from people because I would do that for them and I deserve that much in return. So ladies please do not sell yourselves short. My point is people make time for what they care about. And if someone does not make time for you, I would suggest you move on. And I know that people have times that are hard and deal with hard times differently but that does not mean they cannot take 2.5 seconds to tell you and say thank you when you check on them. I am just learning all of this as I get older and wiser. This is not about anyone in particular! So do not go seeking that answer. There is not one. I just know what I deserve and will not allow less then that.

I think aiming higher is great! Keep doing it! Challenge yourself to aim higher and expect only the best not because you are entitled or a brat but because you are a great person who deserves nothing but the best. You deserve so much more then what you had and you should be aiming higher everyday. I am doing that all day long. Forever and ever.
