Back in Time Again

“Huh?” Raven asks.

“I said where did it all start.?

“Thursday, November 16th 7048,” Raven says

Flashes of memories from the island filled her head. Pictures of despair, anger, and confusion.

“Are you ready to start?” The woman asks.

“Yes”. Raven says in a low voice

She lays down on the couch and pictures everything that happened one by one after the woman attaches a wire to her temples. As the woman talks to her about what she was going to do, the woman asks her to start picturing the beginning. Raven then was put to sleep with the process of her mind having her dream of everything that happened to her in the year 7048, the thought of that year sent chills through her spine every time. She would always think about that place a lot but her memory wasn’t that good anymore. As she drifts off into a deeper sleep her dreams start to become more lucid and vivid. Almost as if she was there again. The woman starts to take notes as to what she is seeing in Raven’s dream to give to her when she wakes up. She sees that it all started on a Thursday afternoon when Raven just got finished training from her boxing classes. Raven was walking to her car when suddenly a man started to follow her. She realized she was being followed by someone and started to walk faster. She sees him walk towards her so she kicks him in the stomach.

“He said you would be a hard one to catch”. That man spoke.

Just as Raven was about to ask him a question she gets shot with a tranquilizer dart and sees three men carry her to a limo before she passes out.

When she woke up she felt a horrible headache and saw that she was in a dark room with two other girls also tied up to a pole like her.

“Psst”, “hey wake up” Raven whispered.

“Ugh, my neck hurts”, The first girl complained.

“Why do I have a horrible headache?” The second girl asked.

“It's probably from the tranquilizer dart”. Raven replied.

Just as the first girl was about to ask a question, an old man in a black velvet suit walked in with a creepy grin on his face and walked towards Raven. “You are the feisty one, eh?” The man proclaimed in a Russian accent.

“Who the hell are you?” “What do you want from us?”. Raven shouted with anger and disgust in her voice.

“Who am I?” The old man laughed. “I am the man who will recruit you three into my… very own secret organization.

“And why the hell would we join you?” The second girl snarls.

“It seems you have many questions but not enough time”. “Take them to the headquarters”. He says in Russian”. “It was nice to meet you three until we meet again.” he says, forming a grin on his face.

Blindfolds cover the girl's eyes and mouth's as they start to yell. Soon they pass out from another tranquilizer shot and are brought to the headquarters that was located on a private remote island.

The girls start to wake up and they find themselves strapped onto a chair. They realized they had been changed into white fitted suits and had been cleaned and groomed as they each looked into the mirrors in front of them. They saw that they were all wearing french braids as the old man walked in with three other girls. He sits in his chair as the three other girls take away the mirrors in front of them and leave the room.

“You three will be training every day to increase your skills”. “When you have trained enough I will give you your first task”.

They were confused as to what was happening, especially since they were being forced to do this.

The girls were brought to a room with three beds, three tables, and three chairs.

“Our training starts tomorrow”. Raven spoke.

“How can you be so calm!” The first girl belted.

“It's not like we have a choice”. Raven responded. “We're in the middle of nowhere”. “No one knows where we are”. “And, it's not like someone searching for me”. “I'm an orphan Raven says

“You’re an orphan?” The second girl asks. “I am too.”

“Raven” Raven says, putting a hand out to shake the second girl’s hand.

“Willow”. The second girl says, shaking her hand.

“So he collects orphans and forces them to train on this stupid island”. The first girl says.

“Your name?” Raven remarked.

“Fine, It's Astra”. The first girl stated.

The girls talked more and more until they heard a bell ring and a female monotone voice after it. “Good evening girls, Supper is ready in the Dining Hall”.

The three girls walked out together and into the diner. They were shocked to see that it was a room full of girls in the age range of what seemed to be 15-25. They got food and sat down. The food smelt good but looked disgusting. They finished eating and the speaker went on again “Please head to the washroom and get ready for bed”. The girls saw everyone else follow orders as if they have been doing this their whole life. They looked cold, dead, but mostly like robots. Like they didn’t care about anything anymore. The girls followed and got ready for bed in the washroom. They were injected with a clear serum no one knew about and was sent to their rooms by a speaker “Lights are out in 15 seconds, please return to your rooms”.

They returned to their rooms and felt disturbed by what had just happened.

The girls talk to each other more and more to get to know each other better. They all fell asleep except Raven with thoughts filling her head. She checks the time on the wall clock and reads “11:28 pm”. “Crap, I was supposed to be asleep an hour ago” She says in her head. As she was about to fall asleep she heard the door open.

“Raven”. A man says.

She gets up and walks towards the door.

“What is it?” Raven asks.

“Mr. Valentin is waiting for you in his office.” “He has something to show you”.

Raven followed the man to the old Russian guy's office and stepped inside the room.

“Raven, I thought I would never see you again”. He speaks in Russian.

“Times change” Raven replies in Russian.

“The act you did earlier in the building was quite the performance”. Valentin jokes.

“Learned from the best”. Raven replies. “So why did you want to see me?” Raven asks.

“No reason just wanted to see you”. “Am I not allowed to see my own daughter?” Valentin questioned.

“No, of course not”. Raven says “About our negotiation”. “I have some conditions”.

“Please, tell me”.Valentin says.

“No harm must come near the two girls”. “Especially Willow”.

“Willow?” He questions.

“We exchanged names”. “Nothing more”. “Willow is the redhead”. “Astra is the noirette”. Raven tells him. “Why is there a problem?

“No, you can go back to sleep”. “You must be tired now”. “After all you have a lot of training to do in the morning”.

“Of course father. Thank you”.

1 year and Five Months Later…

The girls have been given the title of one of the” Liliths”. They were trained to be assassins and didn’t even realize that the clear serum that they have been injected with once a week has altered their minds into thinking that they were fighting bad people when really they were killing innocent people or people Mr. Valentin despised. They have killed, tortured stabbed, and even burned down

houses, but were unaware that what they were doing made them monsters in the eyes of people they have assassinated.

Raven had a plan to escape but she never told anyone, not even Willow and Astra.

She woke up and realized that today was the day she was to be free from her father's will. They did their usual routine and soon they were left for training. She knew her father planted chips in the girls so that if something like this ever happens he would be able to control them. Raven had already told Astra and Willow to meet her at the border where the jets are parked, at 1:30pm.

Astra and Willow walked together to meet up with Raven who was already there. When they arrived Alarms started to sound and soon jets were leaving the place with agents on them.

“What the hell is happening!?” Astra exclaimed.

“We have to go now”. Raven demanded.

“Why, where are we going?” Astra says.

“The island is going to explode, most of the agents have already left on planes and jets”. Ravens says.

Just as they were about to get on the last jet, Valentin and his three men started to shoot at them.

“How dare you betray me!” He yells.

“Hurry, get in, and start the plane. I'll deal with him!” Raven shouts.

Raven takes out her pistol and starts to shoot at him as she gets on the plane. Astra starts to help her and shoots one of Valentin’s men. Valentin takes out a tablet and starts to release the chemical subligation in the chip Astra and Willow have in the back of their neck to stop them from escaping. Raven sees and shoots his hand hoping she also shot the tablet.

“GET IN!” Willow shouts.

“Raven, get in, I'll follow”. Astra demanded.

As Raven gets in, Astra gets shot in the leg. Raven goes back for her until Astra tries to kill her.

“No, Astra it's me.” “It’s the chemical’s messing with your mind”. Raven cries.

“Carry her in, we don't have enough time”. Willow shouts.

Astra gets up from the ground but instead shoots herself in the head. Blood dripped from her head onto the ground as she fell. And bled out to death. Her clean white suit, now painted red.

“NO”. Raven sobbed.

She grabs a pistol off of the ground and shoots her dad in the leg. He was the only one left seeing that his last two men had already been shot by Willow from the jet.

“You monster”. “You took everything away from me dad”. Raven ranted “Mom, my sister, and now my friend”!

“It’s too late, soon your beloved Willow will die too” He grinned.

She kicks him in the face and he falls on his back with his nose and leg both bleeding, both hurting.

She presses the button to start the countdown for the explosion.

“Goodbye, my daughter” he whispered, closing his eyes and slowly stopped breathing.

She and Willow left the island exactly 4 minutes before it exploded, And were relieved the explosion didn’t catch up to them. The two girls sat there talking trying to forget about what had happened. The serum helped Willow not care as much about what happened, but for Raven, it was hard for her especially since she wasn't injected with any of the serum.

They finally reached their destination and got some clothes, healed each other's wounds, and got a flight ticket from Arizona to New York. When they arrived Raven gave her some money for her trip.

“I’ll miss you” Raven says dropping her off at the train station

“I will too” Willow responds leaning in to kiss her on the cheek.

Raven was surprised but delighted.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to-”.

Just as Willow was about to finish her apology Raven pulls her into a light kiss and hugs her goodbye.

“It’s ok”. “I’ve always liked you too,” Raven says, making Willow blush. “Visit me sometimes or send letters”.

“I will”. Willow says grabbing her bags and stepping on the train.

They wave each other goodbye and Raven drives home.

Real-Time…

“You might feel lightheaded, but it'll go away in a minute”. The woman says finishing up her notes.

“No, I feel fine”. Raven says softly. “It's nothing I haven’t done before,” she says jokingly.

“You can sign up for another session for your birthday again next year if you wish to see her again, like always” The woman says, reminding her.

“I would never forget about that, but I assume you already wrote my reservation down for my 65th birthday next year” Raven says.

“Of course Ms. Valentin.” “But may I ask, why didn’t you marry or date anyone else after her?” The woman asked extremely curious to know the answer.

“Some people are just worth waiting for, and I will wait to see her again until my last dying breath”. Raven says, forming a smile.

Raven knew the only way to see her was if she died sooner but she kept her promise of living for the both of them. After the plane crash in 7055, she had her body buried under a tree at her house. People were always curious as to how she was able to live by herself in her English manor but she knew that Willow was looking over her. She knew that in due time she would see her beloved Willow again.....
