Huston, Australia has 99 problems.

The system is done.

By Louise SpathonisPublished about 11 hours ago Updated about an hour ago 13 min read

Huston! We have a problem. It's a big problem. It's not one I can sit still observing anymore. Honestly, I have adrenaline writing this as I feel I am going to be firstly, trying hard not to upset any one person. I am here attempting to do the unthinkable. I am not a hero. I am just a relentless force that is attempting to bring down too many walls so people can start seeing the argument clearly, of course after the dust has settled. I am not here to silence any group. I am here to bring a discussion and unite groups back together. I have always been a fence sitter, up until lately I can see the fence but I am no longer sitting on it.

Luckily for me I have always had good good eyesight, both long and short, so I can see the fence and it's not too far away. I would like to pull my brain apart, and have a clear vision again, and in doing so, I feel I will get back to the fence as I am not being pulled in any one direction. Even with fantastic eyesight, I can't see everything, and I did not see the 2020 vision coming. That year rocked everyone's world. We all know how that went down. It didn’t just blur my vision, it gave me tunnel vision and through the circle The Great Divide revealed itself to me. Ah, all along, The Great Divide was hidden in plain sight, quietly playing chess, moving pieces in the dark.

I don't think it matters, perhaps I'm wasting my breath by speaking about Covid and pre-covid life.

Before Covid I worked out west, rural Queensland, Australia. I saw the issues with the schooling system, and I saw the issues with the farming industry. There are two sides to every coin, and in the scheme of things, now there are six. Looking back, those issues were minuscule. Those issues were basically child's play compared to what we are dealing with now. But the funny thing is, those issues haven't sorted themselves out. They haven't gotten any better. They are just squashed under the the rubble of today's new improved issue. So it is silenced and it is basically a non-event for every other Australian and indigenous person, or any one else who lives here. It doesn't matter, it never did. But it does. It really does matter, but the ones who care are exhausted.

Pre-Covid.

The police, respectful and supported.

The Indigenous community, financially supported and respected.

The farmers, were not supported.

The Nurses, were not supported.

The teachers, were not supported.

The special needs community, were not supported.

The gay community, not supported.

So what did they do? They spoke out.

The gay community, now have a voice. Loud and proud.

The special needs community, somewhat walked over.

The teachers, silenced.

The Nurses, silenced.

The farmers, forgotten.

The Indigenous community, Spoken for. Financially supported. Losing support and respect of some Australians who have had enough of the war cries from other movements who are using the indigenous groups as pawns.

The police, gained control and lost respect.

‘Huston! The system is changing!’

We have issues with every system. They are failing our people. The farmers aren’t being provided for, and yet they are providing the country. The doctors and nurses are overworked, understaffed and the patients are pouring in, faster than the hospitals can provide care for them. The emergency services are caught up in the waiting scheme, getting their patient to the hospital, waiting with their patient, and moving on to the next patient. Most ambulance drivers will now only help three people in a 12 hour shift.

‘Huston! This is a problem!’

The farmers provide the food, and work hard on the land. They get little back for their hard ambitious life, instead the money goes back to big businesses. The teachers provide the space for the growth and development of the children. The teachers expressed concerns in the classroom with developing behavioural issues out of their control, teachers are being attacked. The system didn't change to support the everyday teacher, the teacher only got paid more, but the problem didn’t disappear, it got worse. Mental illness became a big issue. Identity crisis has become a bigger issue for teachers to be trained to support, when they should be only teaching. The farmers were, politely put, run over. The teachers are being attacked by flying tables. The students are still bullying and being bullied. Identity crisis and mental health issues are harming the teachers and farmers and the students.

‘Huston! Bullies are the problem!’

We have an issue with the disability services, aged care, and childcare. The systems in play are failing to supply and support. Not everyone can access the funding and the tax payers are paying for it.

‘Huston! This is whack!’

There is a racism war in Australia, against the indigenous Australians, another strong movement and every day Australians and I basically need to go through the whole history of Australia and the world in order to make sense of this nonsense.

When the indigenous groups owned the land they didn't use fences or boundaries. This is one reason why the European's first believed the land wasn't owned. Different cultures. Different styles. Different values. Different beliefs. Different languages. You can see why there were differences in understanding the term 'land ownership'. Not all the white people were bad and not all the indigenous were good, most of the white people had harmed Australia without realising the land was symbolic. A few did get a long, and a few did respect one another. If I were in that time period, it is hard to say, but I believe, if I was who I am today, I would have been one of those people who would want to know and understand the other culture. People who speak to me today might assume I'm a racist and think I am just making up this statement for popularity. People who know me, know I speak my mind and views clearly and I stand up for things even when I'm told to sit down. So I am here to finally voice my opinion loud and proud. And yes I stand by indigenous Australia. I would put the indigenous flag sticker next to the Australian flag sticker on the back of my car. Proudly.

‘Huston! History was the problem!’

I don't identify with any group aside from being an Australian as that is where I was born. That also means that I embrace both the indigenous flag and the Australian Flag. I acknowledge and embrace the people who were here before me, who have taught me their ways and ideologies. I am a proud Australian and I am a loving Australian. I care about culture. But, there is always a but. I am not allowed to be a proud Australian as it makes me a racist. I do not identify as a racist. I embrace and want to get to know everyone. If you aren’t a kind person, I am not interested. ‘Meanist’ should be a word, I identify as that.

‘Huston! She is a racist! She is the problem!’

I have been a victim to sexual, violently physical and emotional abuse. I am not special in that way. It happens to everyone. It was an ongoing issue I had for years. Men and women of EVERY race age and gender, mostly random acts in public, two domestic. I know there is violence everywhere and its an unstoppable cause, but I also know that once I put the time and effort into overcoming the trauma, it leaves me I go back to being myself. Which is back to loving and caring about people, especially the children and elderly of any race and gender. I do not discriminate. But this is another issue. The justice system protects their offenders, and attacks their victims. No-one accept one person who punched my head and stole my wallet was convicted, and in the scheme of things, that wasn’t the worst attack. I wish it was at least one of the six others.

‘Huston! Abuse is the problem!’

The system is designed for our suffering. Mental health is the number one crisis right now, but it didn't just arrive, it came from racism, hatred, violence, governmental control, and division disguised as diversity, vaccination status, gender and marital status, oh and the guilt. The world I wish to live in would have unity in the community, people would care. There would be space for different religions, space for cultural awareness, space for all people. Guilt wouldn't exist. There is a big problem with how people use guilt against one another. For a really long time now I have severely struggled with my own views as the chatter around me became so loud and demanding. If only my thoughts wouldn't scream at me with every issue I have with this world at the same time, would I be able to state my concerns on each issue. The issues are increasing and stacking on top of each other. So instead I have panic attacks, and I can't find my words to explain the situation I am in. Endless outer world inner world chatter. All my life I have been a fence sitter, the eye of the storm, The rim of a coin. I see the chaos, I understand the chaos, But I can't speak about the chaos because anyone on either side will not have a bar of the other side. Damage done. I have seen both sides to the coin, and Recently, thanks to covid, I found myself walking away from the fence to a corner of loneliness. I didn't feel heard. I didn't feel safe, but I feel safe enough to say Covid changed me. It changed all of us. And the game of control sped up.

‘Huston! The system is gaining momentum!’

Kids just want to grow up, they just want to have their freedom, and be able to do the things they saw the older cool kids doing. Well kid, let me tell you, the grass isn't greener on the 18+ side. It's not greener for the farmers, the middle class workers, it's not greener for the doctors, the teachers and even some lawyers. It is greener for the greens, the media and the other politicians. The media and politics, two things you don't want to get involved in, and they prefer it if you didn't. It's easier that way. Those two things control the schools and help grow the children into exactly what the government want them to be. The best A+ student has been morphed into exactly what the media and education want the students to become. The faster you leave the schooling system, the better. The politics control the media. The media leads the public blindly into their biased direction. You get the point. Their is a huge issue with green energy. Wind Turbines are destroying habitats, they are noisy, bird killers. The electric car batteries cost $20000 for replacement. There will be more tesla cars in land fill over the next 7 years. Greener energy means more blackouts. We haven’t managed our green energy systems yet.

‘Huston! Greener for the greens!’

Australia has one more issue that stands loud. There is a very strong righteous movement storming the streets. It appears if your views don’t align with their way of thinking, (even if the end result is similar or matched), you are fascist, racist scum. I don’t think that way of thinking is anything but helpful. Attacking others to think like you, is not okay. These people stand for any other culture, if their skin colour is different from white. They are too caught up in the racism activism that they can’t see out of the hype. These people use media platforms, preaching to likeminded people where they gain momentum and power. They don’t care about you if you haven’t dyed your hair. These people are not just white, they are of any race, if you meet an indigenous person in this crowd, your view on the indigenous could be tainted. It’s the hunger games. They stand for their own, but they also stand for this, and this movement, although it supports, it doesn’t allign with their culture. It embraces them under a wing, and reality is distorted. When you meet a cowgirl indigenous non-Australian Australian, who acts like an Australian, speaks like an Australian, hangs out with her cows and has her own platform, takes photos of herself and is in love with how she looks, embraces cows, farm life, also known as the Australian culture, but on the other hand yells racism and goes to end Australia Day rallies, well we have a problem. She is taking photos of herself, a definite no no in indigenous culture. She is using modern day technology. She is on the media and has been on multiple white Australian reality T.V programs. No. Without modern day Australia, girl, you wouldn’t have cows, tech, or a society. You would be part of your tribe and you would be out hunting and gathering, that is if you survived WWII when the Japanese would have taken over the land, and if they did that, we both wouldn’t be here now. We have learnt, and grown, adapted and changed our ways, we do make changes. We do embrace indigenous culture, I think it’s time the woke indigenous start being greatful, if they use our tech, embrace our people, and love life, well this is the modern world, it always was. You are allowed to be here. We embrace you. We also respect that technology and capturing photos of your people and tribe is also soul capturing so no pressure, you don’t need to be forced into it, by choice is okay. When you choose to embrace the modern world, and you like it, try to be acknowledging and appreciative of our ancestors that made it possible.

‘Huston! Hunger Games download failed!’

This movement demands that we need to let more people into our country, as those people are suffering. We have a housing crisis, and to make up for the hundreds of thousands of people coming here each year, we are cutting down more forest areas that have been untouched since we have been here, (more indigenous land) to make space for new arrivals. This same movement who are speaking as the indigenous voice, are asking the indigenous to stand with them and let more land be destroyed, to help Australia grow/go. In my eyes, this is still taking from the indigenous, they are just now being paid for the land grab. There is one small hiccup that we should have already learned from every history book, when multiple culures move into one space, there is a natural divide. It will take hundreds of years, basically where we are now, from when we were the European settlement arriving in Botany Bay clashin with the indigenous. It took hundreds of years to start respecting, listening, understanding, appreciating and working together as one. As we bring more and more cultures here, who do not need or want to learn the Australian culture or ways, are happy to live with their own people, and go to their own schools, we have another division crisis. We can’t be supportive and understanding of each other if we don’t know how to communicate with each other. When this happens, indigenous Australia will be the first ones to be forgotten.

‘Huston! The system is malfunctioning!’

Meanwhile the rest of Australia, including other people in the indigenous cultures, are saying no to destroying more land and habitats. No to moving people here. Until we can house our own people and get them off the streets, we can't do it. That same movement is also trying to destroy Australia Day, and in other times when I have actually felt bad about Australia Day, gave me a reason to celebrate this year. Australian culture represents diversity. It represents strength and unity. If you look back on the Australia Day marches, you would see every other culture including other countries living here, marching and representing their people in the march. It was beautiful. It was united. Now we don't even sing the national anthem in our schools. I celebrated Australia Day this year as a memory of what used to be. A sad memory of how everything used to be different and accepted. The Australian culture had improved, diversity with indigenous was there. There was love. There was laughter. There was unity. There was a community. We were working on strengthening the bond. This division was created out of thin air. We Europeans have been supporting the indigenous for years, years before I was born. It can be better, I agree. But yelling racist hatred words and burning the Australian flag on Australia Day, and throwing homemade explosives at indigenous groups during an anti Australia Day rally is only creating a stronger hatred and causing more heated division. And let’s not forget the about the Jewish celebrations in Bondi where people were shot down and murdered on the streets. Oh wait, we already did.

‘Huston! The system is crashing!’

Right now Australia is being bullied, and so is every other Western Country. There is a civil war happening. I believe there is a way to unite all the parties. Us fence sitters and coin rollers can see it. I want to put the Unity back into the Community. We are strength in numbers. Australia can still be indigenous. Australia can still be Diverse. Australia can once again, be one. The system is designed to destroy all the smaller industries, so the big world order can continue.

‘Huston! The system is down!’

‘Huston! A.I. Can A.I. fix this?’

‘Huston!! …’
