Hi everyone, my name is Musulyn, and today’s my 27th birthday! I’m so excited and deeply grateful — not just to be alive, but to be healthy, housed, surrounded by good friends, family, and kind neighbours. That’s a blessing I never take for granted.

I’ve always wanted to write one of those birthday lists — you know, one lesson for every year you’ve lived. So here it is: a little peek into my silly, goofy, thoughtful little world. Also, check out my TikToks — I’ve been going hard on the edits lately! I’m not here for fame or followers, just vibing and expressing. The internet is wild, but I’m a writer at heart who plays in fashion for fun and is plotting to take the world by storm.

So here goes — 27 things I’ve learned by 27, from the profound to the mundane, each with its own story and significance in my life:

Be intentional. Life hit me like an airplane this year (not a car — an aircraft). I realized I’d been running around like a chicken with its head cut off—intent matters. Be mindful. Move with purpose.
If they gossip to you, they gossip about you. Emotional maturity isn’t guaranteed with age. Be discerning. Guard your peace.
Govern yourself accordingly. Honour your boundaries. People treat you how you treat yourself. Be kind, but don’t tolerate disrespect.
You don’t need followers. Fame is a burden. Privacy is power. If 500 people walked into my house right now, I’d be flattered and terrified. Unless I’m getting paid six plus figures, I’m good.
There’s power in a regular job. And in having an education to fall back on. Stability is underrated.
My generation might be cooked. TBD. Check back in 20 years, and we’ll see what we actually contributed.
Your peace is non-negotiable. It's not just a saying, it's a way of life. Don't compromise on your mental and emotional well-being for anyone or anything. Period.
Women can be predators too. And often in more insidious ways. Stay aware.
Advocate for yourself. No one’s a mind reader. Speak up, even if it feels small.
Remember, self-love is the antidote to almost everything. It's not selfish, it's necessary. Embrace it and watch how it transforms your life.
Sex is overrated. That’s all.
Remember, no man is an island. Being your own friend isn't enough. You need community. You need a connection. It's in these bonds that we find strength and support.
The industry is lucrative. But there’s a reason not everyone makes it. It’s not just talent — it’s timing, luck, and resilience.
Familiarity breeds contempt. Keep your circle sacred. And business to yourself
Being a sore loser is embarrassing. Take your Ls with grace.
One day you will die. So live. Fully.
Tiramisu is elite—no further explanation needed.
Sunscreen is your bestie. Trust me.
Internalized misogyny is rampant, especially among women. Most don’t even realize it.
Your skincare doesn’t care. Invest in treatments if you can. But overall health matters more.
You don’t have to like everyone. And not everyone likes you. That’s okay.
Book the ticket. Your money will come back. Your time won’t.
Your metabolism slows down. You can’t just eat anything and bounce back. It catches up.
Real friends don’t ask much. They want you to be yourself.
Fashion is forever. If you wouldn’t be caught dead in it, don’t wear it. Hair matters too. Beauty maintenance is self-care.
Remember, letting go is easier than holding on. Especially to pain that was never yours to carry. Life’s too short to be bitter. Embrace your authenticity and release the negativity. You'll be amazed at the freedom it brings.
So, ya guys, this is my 27 for ya. Each lesson is inscribed with growth and grace. Some came easily, others arrived like thunder, but all of them shaped the individual I am today. I’m not perfect, and I don’t want to be. I’m evolving, unlearning, relearning, and vibing through it all. If you’ve read this far, thank you for being a part of my journey and witnessing my little corner of clarity.
Here’s to more years, more lessons, and more unapologetic living. Happy birthday to me! And cheers to the journey ahead

There’s real maturity in your voice here. Feels effortless, not performed.
