The Truth About Astral Vampires
[Author's Note: At University (in the early 2000's), I took a Sociology class on the myth and symbolism of Witchcraft, and as part of the class, I ended up writing a paper on the mythology and folklore of vampires, which then lead me into a paid gig writing vampire articles for a while. So I've decided to share these articles of vampire myth and folklore here ~ C ]

Heart of Ice
“In the winter of 1885 a wagon train was heading West and found themselves in Minnesota, traveling through what would one day be part of the Superior National Forest. The legend states that a blizzard caught them off guard and trapped them in a mountain pass. They had provisions on hand, enough to, in theory last them a month. The Donner Party tragedy having already occurred, many people were wary of falling to the same fate. What the rest of the group didn’t know was that one of their members had made himself some extra cash by selling off what he saw as excess provisions as they journeyed West. The entrepreneur in question was a man that was, at least at the time, going by Doc Smith.” Madeline read the prewritten copy with her usual smooth confidence.

The Giantess of Dasos
Deep within the forest of Dasos, there stood twin mountains. Within those mountains lived a giantess and her sister. Short strands of golden locks framed faces that held pale blue eyes. If not for their enormous size, these women would be bewitching, but their need for human flesh made them more beast than beauty.

The Necromancer
The day was like any other day. A chill in the fall air. The Sun shining through the clouds as if optimistically providing metaphorical glimmer of hope for the future. The future is something the Jack Martin has been thinking of a lot lately. How can he forget the past enough to live in the moment, so that he can forge a new future, not one that hinges on his self inflicted condemnation from his past memories. The haunting presence of a chain around the neck and the vivid memories of realizing you are not the man you claim to be. An imposter. A mockery of morality in plain sight but no one can see you.

Urban Legend ghost stories from each state (Colorado-Georgia)
Colorado: Buffalo Ranch Haunting In Denver, Colorado their is a Ranch and a two story house on the property that was built in the 1860's. It was originally built by the patrick family which consisted of Mr. and Mrs. patrick along with their five boys. They ended up building this house as a stage stop on the Genesee Mountain. It is said that one of the past caretakers wife who was staying in a trailer in the backyard would not set foot in the main house because she saw strange things and thought it was haunted. One person in the family of the new owner remembers one night when she was twelve she heard her mom upstairs screaming and their pet dog was barking at the wall. The girl and her father went upstairs and the mother stated that she had seen a floating glowing green orb go down the hall and disappear through the wall. About six months later another creepy thing occured when the new owners heard music in the middle of the night almost like a fiddle or violin. The sound of the haunting music continued a couple more times throughout that year. A few years later a book was read by a local historian which talked about the history of not only the house but also the Patrick family. The first murder in that county happened in this front yard when one of the brothers murdered another brother over a dog. It was said that this brother was known to play the fiddle and also is buried somewhere in the yard.

Dark Tidings
Jessica sat, drinking her Pabst Blue Ribbon, and thinking about how much the little town of Podduck had changed in recent years. Aside from the constant gossip and rumors, and all the other stupid stuff that usually went on at family reunions, she suddenly had an epiphany. Family reunions suck. This one was certainly turning out to be a complete suck-fest. Hardly anyone she wanted to see, had shown up. None of her friends were here, not even her favorite cousin, and everyone who had shown up was... gross.
