Like a watch
People are like a watch. Eventually ceasing to function at the end of time. I have always believed in death as a wonderful thing, a definitive resting point, others will fear it and part of me understands why. The unknown is treacherous. Nevertheless, from the unknown, we learn.

The Hallow Nightmare
The Henry family moved out of their upper class home in Houston to a cheaper one miles south because their dog had been hit by a car. Patriarch Leland heard his oldest daughter’s cries that he was finally happy until the day that he died when referencing the family pet. Several months later in their new home which was supposed to be a fresh start, his youngest daughter would wake up in a hospital screaming the same thing about them. We were finally happy.

Heart Shaped Locket
I wake up to a cold shiver around my feet, I am missing my socks as my bare skin is touching the icy blood. I look up and I see the purple moon over me, and out ahead of me is this long glittery red waterfall with a black and yellow galaxy night view . I can see the stars all glowing a cunning pink yet when I had a glance again at the moon I noticed it was this sapphic blue. I gasped because its beauty hypnotized me. So as I was gazing at the moon in the sky it turned into the shape of a silver heart forming a locket. The Sapphire locket opens and the picture is clear. It is of a woman plus a man. Whom both have a warm welcoming smile, seeming like I have known those two all my life. I am enjoying the soft black sand, so I nestled on my back and closed my eyes. I then wake up officially in my bed while in a warm cozy blanket. With the sun barely peeking in I stare over at my wrist with my fave tattoo a yin-yang symbol with crosses melted a bit. In my mind I ponder if I would ever get the chance to meet those people I had seen in my dream. As I look over to my clock, I let out a mini gasp. I then started rushing a bit to get ready for my job, since I have been working everyday here since I graduated from a trade school a couple of months ago. I really enjoyed my placement there even though my boss seems a bit dorky himself. It was nice to know that I can always make new friends and even meet people on my level of NFG. Which means No F’S Given. I am just thankful I have a cool car to take me there as well. My Shiny 1997 C Impala cruizer to drive even on a cold rainy night. Later that day As my hazel eyes gloss over viewing my watch on the inside of my pale wrist just pondering when my modern day shift will end. My necklace which aggressively pinches me at my neckline because my silver hair gets a little tangled with it, I simply ignore it. Aside from my head feeling faint, my chest with bearable emptiness, to my toes feeling a bit numb from my shoes shamelessly worn down forms years to present today. As I was going to fill up this fluorescent glass jug of ice cold water to serve at table number five who are our regies, which is short for regulars that we call in this Dine-inn. So our regies is this elder gay couple whose names are Coy and Shika Leafiez, I really enjoy those two gentlemen’s company as much as those two seem to really devour our food here like it is an endless buffe. As I started to walk back to table five oddly enough the power went out and our regis at table five seemed shooketh as well as I am. Yet I am somberly relieved in my head being as an over-thinker. I instantly thought, is this the time for an apocalyptic appointment to occur for me to slip into my depressive succulent bed already. I called my manager from my cell phone, who was a 6 foot lengthy man with awesome golden long curly hair who went by Mr. Bossman-Jones, to help me close our Dine-inn called Mr. Jaz early for the night. Over the phone he explained that he was 20 minutes away and he informed me to restock the wine gently into the antique glass fridge we have. Before I could even handle that task- I oddly sensed our regies were in discomfort so I quickly turned towards them and set up a few candles to enlighten the mood I started joking with the couple Leafiez to make them feel at ease since Mr. Jaz doesn't necessarily have windows. Thus for Thyself working many lonesome nights of closing up here it gives off this series of unfortunate events like in an eerie on the edge of your seat type of Horror Film vibe. As the Leafiez laughter compliments upon my cartoonic puns and strange dark-humor They seem to understand what I meant, this sensible satisfaction in that moment alone washed over my brain and made me feel as if they were my long lost parents. Unfortunately for myself I never pried my adoptive parents to tell me about my biological parents, I always sensed an empty-handed axe in my chest still lingering a bloody loss. I shake my head so I Can snap back to and as Both Mr. Leafiez told me I am such a cosmic character, they remarked back with funny and ransom I need my breath back type of jokes. After awhile a lanky shadow from the dark appears like a slick appreciative appetite, "Sincere apologies" a voice echoes throughout the small Dine-inn. We all looked spooked out of our wits, yet with a soft chuckle from seeing our faces, I recognize that it is Mr. Bossman-Jones. In Sync Both Mr. Leafiez and I Bellow out “So Happy To See You Here.” Thus as the gentlemen and I look at each other we just briefly chuckle. I told my boss, “ Hey Sir, sorry i was distracted with our awesome regies an I didn't get to the task you informed me about.” So as he stepped toward me while putting a hand on my left shoulder with a twinkle in his eyes he mentions "Well, You are the best Gift of All, I understand that, I am here now so you can hop to my adorable Bunn". Thus I chuckle back and humbly say "Yes Sir.” He takes over the table with the lovely Mr. Leafiez as I head to the back counter. On a Hungry Stomach I started Reminiscing about when I first started working at Mr. JAz, On my lunch break all I ate was Honey Bunns. Since Holi, the girl next door was a beekeeper and every day I would see her eating a honey bun after working hard on the bees boxing nest full of honey and the wild beehive she kept in the tree of her backyard. I remember a few times she actually got stung from collecting honey. She wasn't allergic though yet I found that out when I had FIRST went into full panicked mode from when I had seen her get stung from a bee, since I had decided to open up my bedroom window that afternoon to let in the cool spring breeze into my room since it was hotter than a cut burn only because my mom, Shoto, doesn’t like to turn on the Air Conditioner in the house. After that moment of me opening up my window I saw her get hurt and without a second thought I had jump out my window and rolled off of my rooftop and then like a cool manic I then quickly ran to my rose bushes pushing through them to immediately jump over my backyard fence like some ninja that is running from a blender that is on fire throwing water blades at them. Holi just stares at me in amazement from what she just saw me do. I then grabbed her right hand gently with my right hand and asked a bunch of questions like ‘Do you feel faint? Do you need water? Should I Call my mom? Are you home alone? I can drive us to the hospital! Does your cat know you're allergic?’ She then calmly placed her left hand on the side of my neck. So then I immediately stop talking and blush. She only says “My cat knows I am not allergic.” I am struck because of how soft and light her voice is. “The bee is stuck?” as I say, “oh yup but it's dead now, sadly they can work their whole lives in stress of trying not to fight.” she responded, without thinking I pulled out the bee then placed it on the wooden table next to us. She is gazing at me with her dark galaxy emerald eyes, with her soft smile I paused. Then I pulled out of my neon cookie monster sweater a band aid while peeling off the coverage for it, I placed the rainbow band aid on her right hand. As her mom said “ AWe Aren’t You Two Such a Cute couple daisies!” while she was standing in the back doorway of her satin blue house. As I got into the state of shock, my hazel eyes had widened so big, that from staring at me Holi began bursting into laughter oddly then it started to morph into a males laugh. I am confused then I shake my head again releasing and coming back to that I was standing behind the counter of the Mr. Jaz and look over seeing My boss laughing at something the Mr. Leafiez had said. I shake my head in disbelief as I open the box, I bellowed out to my boss as I am reading the label on thy boxed "They gave us.. the the wrong.. the wrong Wine again! Sir." My Boss then said, "I swear.” Letting out a sighs* He proceeds “I think that Truck driver Ladyyy is tryna.. purposely get me to call her!" Then In sync the Mr. Leafiez says, " She is always Trucking but yet it's seems like she has found her duckling." my boss was in utter amusement and dropped to his knees and as for I could feel my belly fat melting away from laughing out my esophagus so hard. I was tilted over the counter trying to hold steady. I could even hear the fascinating couple the Mr. Leafiez just wheezing away. I whipped my tears and gulped down some h2o then I busted my knuckles on this box out of anger for the mistake of someone’s mishap. So as I am draping these damped boxes to the back as Those fine gentlemen catered to each other in a mystical conversation. To my convince the glass fridge was slightly opened, I had finished setting these boxes onto the counter next to the antique glass fridge. I therefore opened the box of misplaced wine, a bruised shipment then grabbed a bottle with my right hand. I suddenly realized I was in the mist of shadows in this back room. I calmly get out my phone. Yet as I reached into my right hand pocket with my left hand, I dropped my phone so it hit the ground and my flashlight turned on. So as I am standing there in awe of what is happening, I come back to realizing I am in severe pain evermore since the locket is burning on my chest now. After a minute the heat starts to feel super cold. To me it appears as if this magical Heart locket is melting into my chest for a comfort of peace. It fills that void of me feeling that soberly pain throughout my life. I noticed that ever since I had the locket it was never able to open, yet with the amount of blood i am oozing it opens. I tried to see the images yet my vision went blurry as if I was the one weeping so hard into my pillow from one of those sleepless nights of a depressive episode. I started to fall backwards while letting go of my grip with the bottle of wine as it was clashing against the floor. I heard their footsteps rushing into the back room. I can barely hear them saying somethings yet it just seems like loud noises yet, it all sounds so muffled as if I still have my head in a pillow. Next thing I know is A Quick utter silence shortly then I pass out.

The Elders Curse
In the year 2020, billions undergo a everyday ritual. Witches and Wizards cursed the world in an attempt to get rid of the cancer they call the "Unwelcome Ones", but they're calculations were wrong. It attacks your immune system, your physical state, makes you look skeletal, almost dead. Thousands died. Millions were on the verge. After it attacked the people, it attacked the world, people in the south froze, people in the north drowned, people of the west burned and the people of the east remained untouched, but they went insane. The Witching Hour
A tremendous squall woke me that night, a gust of wind so strong that it pummeled the oak trees outside the house, causing the branches to scrape with incessant clamor against my bedroom window. A hazy glimpse at the clock told me that it was three o'clock in the morning, mere hours past the time I had stumbled upstairs and plunged into the pleasant comfort of sleep.

The time I caught a ghost on camera
The summer before my eleventh birthday was the first time I encountered a ghost. Well, sort of. I was on a camping trip with my Girl Scout troop on Johnson’s Island, a tiny patch of land in Lake Erie. During the Civil War, the North built a prison camp for captured Confederate officers on Johnson’s Island, and a Confederate cemetery remains there today. Next to the graveyard is a cabin, and in the cabin is where I was staying with a dozen other ten-year-olds on an overnight trip. Unfortunately, it drizzled throughout our first day, so we were bored. Some girls cut through the graveyard to a walking trail. Suddenly, two girls came running from the woods, screaming that they had seen a ghost—a young soldier in the blue jacket worn by Union troops who once patrolled the island prison.

Specter In The Woods
It was a dark and stormy night and Jack was driving down a winding two lane highway. It was raining lightly just as it had been for days. The windshield wipers made a barely audible squeak with each stroke across the windshield of Jack's old Chevy pickup truck. Jack's emotions were running high as he reflected on the heated argument he had just had with his wife that prompted him to leave. Jack had a couple drinks about an hour beforehand and was starting to feel it. The irony is that the main reason for the argument was Jack's drinking problem. Jack was following the rules of the road but his heightened emotion and slight inebriation made this a dangerous ride for Jack. Jack had his phone charging through the trucks old 12 volt cigarette lighter and sitting in the middle of the bench seat. Suddenly Jack's phone chimed and without thinking Jack took one hand off the wheel and picked up the phone. It was a message from his wife Lisa. It started with "I'm sorry..." Jack didn't even get to finish reading the message before he felt something familiar and terrifying. Jack immediately recognized the feeling of loss of control and knew he was hydroplaning. Jack was seized with fear and was desperately wrestling with the steering wheel trying to regain control of the truck. Suddenly the truck came off its wheels on one side and flipped. Jack didn't know what was happening but he did know he was being thrown around the cab of the truck. Jack was sure bones were being broken and he could see alot of blood. The truck had rolled onto it's roof and slid across the pavement and through an old guardrail. The truck rolled a couple of times down the steep embankment before coming to rest upside down in the now roaring creek. Jack knew he was hurt bad but if he didn't escape the truck he would surely drown within minutes. Jack knew he couldn't push the door open the water pressure would be too great. Jack decided to roll down his window. Water rushed in like a waterfall nearly washing Jack to the other side of the cab. Jack used anything he could grip, including, first the steering wheel, and then the window frame, to brace against and pushed himself out. Jack scrambled to shore where he collapsed barely able to breathe and quickly losing blood. Jack knew he was in trouble and he needed to stem the flow of blood. There was too much to know exactly where it was coming from, but he knew it was his left arm and forehead. Jack fought through the pain and reached into his pocket. Jack pulled out a pocket knife and with excruciating pain cut a long strip from his soaked t-shirt. Jack found a stick and rigged up a tourniquet as best he could near the top of his left arm. The exertion from making the tourniquet caused Jack to pass out in his weakened state. Jack regained consciousness some time later. Jack knew it hadn't been too long because it was still very dark. Suddenly he noticed something...or rather someone. A dark silhouette of a woman was standing at his feet. Her outline was clear she was a slim woman with dark hair. Jack was paralyzed with fear, his eyes wide with astonishment. Jack used his shirt to wipe the blood from his brow that was partially obstructing his view. Jack told himself silently that this figure must be a hallucination due to blood loss. Suddenly a rush of wind that seemed to come from everywhere hit Jack and he was struck with a pungent odor he immediately recognized as decaying flesh.
