The Elders Curse

In the year 2020, billions undergo a everyday ritual. Witches and Wizards cursed the world in an attempt to get rid of the cancer they call the "Unwelcome Ones", but they're calculations were wrong. They cursed the world with a sickness in the air, a plague, a virus, more dangerous than anything they can ever imagine. It attacks your immune system, your physical state, makes you look skeletal, almost dead. Thousands died. Millions were on the verge. After it attacked the people, it attacked the world, people in the south froze, people in the north drowned, people of the west burned and the people of the east remained untouched, but they went insane. With no cure, the world will soon parish.

1 year later

Ash Killer, a 21 year old woman, mother of two, a humble witch, was scared for her life as the wind goes cold in the middle of June, as it wasn't a sign of anything good. With a chill in her bones, ice begins to fall around the already cool grass of her front yard, washing away the burn of the burnt grass, from it not raining for 6 months. The curse is mutating again. She and her husband were one of the few hundred left in her small town that hasn't caught the curse that the elders have cast the year before, now it has upped its game to make her catch the beginning of the curse, a common cold. She grabs her scared throat, feeling the ghost of a sore throat in her already muted self, knowing her immune system won't be able to handle the weather. She rushes inside to grab the Heart of Old, a gold locket shaped like a heart that has old magic, passed down for generations through her family. The Heart was prophesized to either save the world, or destroy it forever. In the wrong hands, the world is gone as we know it.

Ash runs in to grab the Heart when her sons begin crying, ready to eat. momentarily distracted from her goal to put her sons back to sleep, she rushes back to get the heart, when she realizes it missing. Ash begins to panic, she mentally swears that she put it in her jewelry box where no one can get into it but her, when all of a sudden she's pushed out of her head by a huge explosion outside and a gush of wind flowing through the house that nearly pushes her back against the wall. She pulls herself through the harsh wind to look for her boys, but instead finding a ceiling on top of where her sons was crib was, with a silent wail, she uses her powers to lift the rubble to look for them, only to silently scream when seeing nothing but blood in the crib. Ash shakily backs away from her boys crib, sobbing as she goes, to the front yard to see her husband destroying everything, while wearing the gold locket. Chase Killer, her husband, was floating in the air, shouting about being the ruler of the east and that it was time for a change, when Ash realized where his job took him, to his death. He left a few months ago for an out of state job that he said was classified, she was worried but he promised he would be safe, but his job had other ideas and threw him to his death by making him go east, rendering him TI: Totally Insane.

Full of revenge, Ash starts throwing spells at her husband, in attempt to stop him, but in her anger she hits the Heart of Old, and it smashes into four pieces. Magical partials fly into the air, quickly getting bigger by the minute as three of the four pieces disappeared. after what seems like forever, the one piece that stayed stopped growing, hovering as a eerie shrill began to shriek out of the now hovering orb, Ash covered her ears and fell to her knees. Blood began pouring out of her ears when the shrill stopped. Ash opened her eyes just in time to see her husband combust into ashes, and after his ashes feel to the ground, one by one the rest of her town began to follow suit, blood red acid rain falls to the ground. Ash, numb from losing her whole family, didn't feel the acid melting off her skin as she stood up, looked at the sky and felt the rain turn into burning snow. She smiles for the first time in a long time as she combusts into ash.

The elders curse killed off the rest of the world slowly, just like they planned, for they didn't believe anyone was innocent. The Heart of Old was a major part of the curse they hadn't planned, for they didn't realize it existed. They thought it was to be lost thousands of years ago. now that it was broken, the rest of world perished sooner than they would have hoped, but they joined them. For the revenge of a mother, no one can go untouched.
