Buried Obsession
The wooden boards creaked from a heavy weight as my eyes flickered open. My head pounded while my throat begged for water. A loud hum buzzed in my ear. My long brown hair was matted from the silk pillow below my sweating head. Darkness swallowed me, causing my brain to want to panic. Dried blood coated my broken fingernails.

72 Hours
The silence was heavy as an older man in a white coat with a large gray mustache looked at me. The gray sweats itched against my pale skin. My skin felt clammy as my copper eyes darted outside the barred windows. Storm clouds formed releasing an edge in the air.

Black Hearts
18 May A crazy ol’ loon bumped me on the docks today. Afore I could run him through for the offense, he gained me attention. Offered me a trade. His life’s almost over and he’ll never make it back to his treasure. Its mine he says, if I spare him. O’ course I agree. He told me a tale of a luscious, island paradise where he hid a massive treasure. Then he told me a tale o’ rubbish about some spooks and specters what haunt the sea around the island. It’s why he never got back to it to reclaim his booty. He gave me a map afore I ran him through anyway and shoved his fresh corpse off the pier and into the drink.

Site-17: The Beginning Verse Pt. 1
You know those stories your friends and you tell around camp fires? Or the scary tales of creatures going bump in the night? Creatures under your bed or in your closet ready to pounce at any moment and the feeling of fright washes over you as you run and hide from the worst. Well I hate to break it to you, but it's true, Boogeymen do exist just not in the forms you think they exist in. Contrary to popular belief these things don't always hide. Sometimes they are in plain site, watching and waiting. Sometimes you cant see them and at other times you interact with them on the daily bases.

12:07am
One. Two. Dot-dot. Zero. Four. A.M. The moon was bright and perfectly round. Like a brand new nickel. Shiny, silver, that untouched-by-messy-human-hands kind of new. Young Lily Pikeman kept her eyes glued to the vivid green numbers on the oven display. She was in her long nightgown of pink and lace, eagerly anticipating the moment her eyes would see it change to one two dot-dot zero six A.M. That was when her birthday really began according to her mother, who told her the cupcakes were off limits until the actual moment she entered the world. When the clock had a one then a two, with two tiny dots, then a zero and a six on it - 12:06 - she would truly be older. Thus deserving of the coveted prize. She was eyeing the cupcake on the counter, just barely out of reach of her tiny, soon-to-be four year old hands. If she was careful enough she could slide a kitchen chair across the pure white tiles and get one of the shiny pink treats without waking her mother and father down the hall.

Fina’s Cavern
August 12, 17XX - Today I have experienced, what I consider, to be the greatest loss in my life - My first and only love, Fina. I have never been much of a writer, but due to advice I have received from the priests, I believe it is in my best interest to distract myself. I feel the need to chronicle the events leading to her death, as my mind seems to have started to escape me in my grief.

Killer Mommy Dearest
“Hey sweetie.” A shrill voice called out, touching my shoulder. “Do you want to come back home with me?” My breath felt short as my boots clicked against the cracked pavement. The neon lights flickered angrily above me. Pain shot through me as a knife struck me in the back. Warm liquid dripped down my back, causing my body to collapse to the ground. A short little lady with a withered face glared back down at me. The knife glinted red in the neon lights as it slammed into my skin, scratching my hip bone. Red blood soaked my black silk nightgown.

Plant a Seed
“You know, when you swallow a seed, it grows in your stomach,” Max teases me, once I finish coughing. “I sure hope you like pears because a tree is gonna grow right there.” He pokes me in my stomach, making me laugh harder, the tiny pear seed that found its way down the wrong pipe weighing heavy in my gullet like a stone.
