The Mysterious Notebook
Thomas sat in bed thumbing the mysterious notebook, it was small in comparison to his typical college ones, and it was exceptionally aged, as if it would crumble to dust in his hands. The first thing he noticed about it was it seemed to be very well used, the pages were dog-eared in specific places throughout and most of the pages had at least one tear to their name. The notebook was made of blackened leather, and on the front was a single name: Winston Mathins. Thomas recognized this name as one of his great-uncles, his name came up occasionally during dinner with his family, and it seemed the consensus was that Winston was a shut-in, who kept to his house in his later years. His wife was concerned with his mental health, as Winston repeatedly told of nightmarish creatures visiting him in the long night and giving him promises of great wealth and long life. After Winston and his wife divorced, the great wealth part of his disillusion seemed to come true, as Winston happened upon hoards of money, though he never revealed to anyone how he accrued his fortune. Winston passed a week from yesterday, at the ripe old age of ninety-seven, and he surprisingly left Thomas the notebook, and twenty thousand dollars, which Thomas remarked was “but a drop in the bucket of Winston’s actual fortune.” but Thomas held his tongue, as many in his family believed the money to be dirty, most thought Winston was involved in organized crime. Thomas’ curiosity got the better of him, and he opened the notebook to the first page.

The Red Mark
In a country in a distant place, two families were warring. The feud had gone on for so long no one could quite remember the original cause. The present hostilities were based on more recent grudges and murders. One family was named Wren, the other Fox. Both desired to control the countryside and eradicate their enemy.

Maze
“Oh, we have to stop!” exclaimed Suzanne, pummeling Greg’s shoulder with both fists. She was looking at the hand-painted sign beside the two-lane road that read “Matthew’s ‘Mazing Maze of Maize” in large red letters. Below that, “Largest Corn Maze in the South! Games! Prizes!” Off to the side was a rudimentarily-rendered row of corn plants with question marks floating over it.

It Lurks
Friday. Not the thirteenth, but from Kyle’s point of view it might as well be. He stand outside a large tent that he and Shane have propped up in a small clearing. Their campsite has a fire going and plenty of beer in the cooler. Kyle faces his fancy DSLR that rests on its tripod. He talks to it. “We are getting ready to scare the shit out of my ex and her… girlfriend.” He makes a face during the last word.

I AM WOLF
WOLF : Guardian / Protector / Spirit / Wild / Ferocious Through the stars the story tells of a WOLF who wanders at night. Some say they see a Girl riding his back, others says she walks beside him. A third visioner says, “There never were two but one. GIRL or WOLF, no one sees but knows.” How the story goes…depends on the night. Maybe there is one, maybe two, depends on who is walking and who is telling who. But, believing is what we do. It all depends on if you believe in what you feel or what you see.

Can't Leave
I've kept to myself in my own little apartment for a while since I don't really like interacting with people since people seem to know how to piss me off most of the time. I work at home and once in a while drop by the convenience store nearby to grab myself some food and water to survive since tap water sucks major ass a lot of the time - I think it mostly has to do with me being in the city though.

Monster of the Appalachian
Since I was a child, I have always been fascinated with creatures that are yet to be on any biologists list of known species. Nessy, Bigfoot, The Mothman, chupacabra, all of them. I would study for hours. Read encyclopedia entries, eyewitness accounts, and even fiction novels by avid monster fans such as myself. As big as my interest was, I never considered actually encountering one of the creatures. But, to understand why I was in the position I was in that caused me to come face to face with a legendary cryptid, I need to take you back a little ways.

The Converse Carnivore
Major Abraham ‘Bram’ Miller let out a deep and audible sigh. He had waited weeks for this moment, but now it had arrived, the look of confusion and disappointment on Ethan’s face was more than he could bear. The boy was shaking, and the old soldier knew that at any moment the tears would start to flow. Damn it, your first rifle and you act like it’s a turd he thought. As if on cue, Ethan turned to face him, tears streaming down his cheeks.

The Four-Armed Crow
Journals of Josiah Foster. September 5th, 1870 It wasn’t dark out when I spotted the beast. I wish it had been. Maybe then it would have made sense why this shadowy hellspawn was so brazen or perhaps it would have disguised its truest form from my vision in a manner that would have led me to believe it was mostly my imagination. But it was sunny, and not a cloud could I see from the bayou banks.
