BIRD GIRL
I stand looking down at the Steinway grand piano. “It’s just you and me,” I say, pretending not to be sharing the room with two thousand other people. I feel my bare feet on the ground, sensing into the earth below the orchestra pit. The same earth Steinway’s bass, treble and point legs stand upon. My feet grow heavy. The weight of the piano sinking in my gut. Swallowing my tears, I whisper to the beauty in front of me, “We share this space and seat in the house, it is my honor to play with you. Take my hands and make them yours.”

Embodied Presence
JANUARY 1, 2021 - Wow! We made it. I never thought last year was going to end. Struggling for the energy to get through another day, while not feeling at all what I was experiencing within my body. The sluggish, uncomfortable weight of 2020: grief, heartache, frustration, impatience, longing, denial – constant, conflicting thoughts of Covid! STOP!!! Oh and...all the extra pounds from eating my feelings.

I AM WOLF
WOLF : Guardian / Protector / Spirit / Wild / Ferocious Through the stars the story tells of a WOLF who wanders at night. Some say they see a Girl riding his back, others says she walks beside him. A third visioner says, “There never were two but one. GIRL or WOLF, no one sees but knows.” How the story goes…depends on the night. Maybe there is one, maybe two, depends on who is walking and who is telling who. But, believing is what we do. It all depends on if you believe in what you feel or what you see.
