Sounds for Samhain
It's the greatest time of year again! Autumn, the season that brings us Samhain, later dubbed Hallowe'en and Halloween. The Celtic origins of Halloween are not often studied or discussed by the masses, but it is important and interesting history. Delving into the topic and celebrating the part of my ancestry traced back to the Irish and Celts, I decided to share some fun things including favorite witches and vampires and items of information that will, hopefully, encourage and inspire readers to study Celtic and Irish history as well as the history of ancient peoples who lived in western Europe and originated traditions people take for granted and only recognize as commercialized party days today.

A demon for Halloween
Ask anyone who performs magic at any level and they'll tell you that water is a key component. Now in what manner depends on who you talk to. Some use it as a way to wipe away a spell, some use it to aid a spell, and others use it however they feel like in the moment. I'm a personal believer in using it in multiple ways which is why the evening before Halloween I'm using a lake to help my spell. What spell am I attempting you ask? Why I want to summon the nastiest thing I can find and use it in my haunted house!

It was a normal day in Creekville and the teenagers was getting ready for the costume party for Halloween. The gang was all together Amy, Susan, Margie, and Elosie. They had all been childhood friends growing up and promising to always stay friends. They where in high school now and boy crazy. He was the cutest guy on the team his name was Rick he transferred there the year before from Coolidge High School. This was their chance to get in with the most popular kids in school.

Black Pond
The story begins with two friends who like to explore the woods. About 20 miles East of their hometown in Northern Vermont lies a massive plot of land that had been abandoned in the late 1890s. On google maps, it shows only a blob of green, with a small body of water near the center, large enough to be a state forest, yet neither state nor company nor individual owns the land. After some research on the area, the two friends found that at least part of the land used to be an amusement park where people from all over the area could go for only a few dollars. Before this, much of the land was used as farmland, but most of the forest grew back only to be torn down again. By then, it had mostly returned to its original state of forested land.

The Halloween Party
"You going to the party Friday." John asked me as I was going through the things in my locker. Today is Wednesday which gives me two days to prepare. "I believe so, but every time they have it, the music isn't all that good." I replied. "I guess your in luck. This year, I am in charge of it. If you wanna stop by my place after school you could help me with the playlist." He said. "Oh sure, I would love that." "Alright, well i'll see you after school at my house." "Okay." John left and went to his class. I was excited now for the party. Its senior year and this is going to be the first dance of the year. Staff is usually handling the music, so it's not all that good. I finished up with school and went home. When I arrived to the house I took a quick shower and went to find my mom. "Mom." I said hugging her and giving her a kiss on her check. " Hey baby, how was school today." She said. "Awesome mom. John asked me to come over his house today so I can help put together the playlist for our Halloween party." "Okay.
