Down By The Foggy Waters

It was a normal day in Creekville and the teenagers was getting ready for the costume party for Halloween. The gang was all together Amy, Susan, Margie, and Elosie. They had all been childhood friends growing up and promising to always stay friends. They where in high school now and boy crazy. One of the guys from the varsity football team ask them to come to his Halloween party. He was the cutest guy on the team his name was Rick he transferred there the year before from Coolidge High School. This was their chance to get in with the most popular kids in school.

Around 8:00 p.m. the girls was in their car and on their way to the wooden cabin in the forest that he told them about. He said, "There's a legend about the place that a young man was killed at the cabin by the foggy waters. He was about our age he was found with one foot cut off and he was drowned in the foggy waters. He also was stabbed to death multiple times. They said he wrote in his own blood revenge. Story has it on Halloween he returns to revenge his death on whoever dares to be there. There has been some mysterious deaths there over the years and they think it's tied to his death. His name was Mark it's a really creepy story huh? They said yeah!

The girl pulled up and saw all the other cars and heard the music and went in the cabin. Tons of people was there inside and outside dancing and drinking. He saw them and ran over. Hey the gang is all here! Come right on in ladies. They where having so much fun and it started getting late. Susan said, "Girls anyone seen Elosie?" I thought she went into the forest to go to the bathroom the bathrooms was all full. Well, she's been gone for a long time. An 30 minutes later she had not yet returned. They said hey let's go looking for her. They went into the woods calling out her name Elosie! Elosie! Elosie! where are you? They heard a noise behind them. Amy turned around and said, "Who's there?" A guy with a werewolf mask jumped out and stabbed her! They started screaming and ran down the through the forest.

Margie ran up to Susan and she grabbed her and said, "Where were you? Somebody killed Amy!" Elosie said, "I was on the phone talking to my ex he had called. So I walked in the woods so I could hear him better." "Come on we got to get help, said Amy. Then she started screaming and said, "He's behind you Elosie run!" He swung at her and she picked up a stick and hit him. Then they all started running screaming for help. They saw a boat by the foggy waters and got in and started rowing towards the cabin.

They were crying and Susan called the police they said they were on there way to stay on the phone. They could see the people and the light at the cabin and started screaming for help. All of a sudden the boat was pushed over. It was the killer! He started stabbing at the girls the their friend from the party jumped in to swim in to help them. They started swimming toward him. Susan started screaming as the killer grabbed her leg and pulled under water. He raised his hand to stab her and then they heard a shot. It was the police he's body went under water. They girls was rescued. They saw them taking Amy to an ambulance she was alive. They all look at each other and said shaking and crying we made it. They looked and looked but never found the body.

Years later Susan out of all the girls had married the guy that asked them to go to the party. They had been married for twenty-five years. One day Susan came home and she started cooking diner for the family. She called out to her daughter Rose to come down for dinner. Also, she wanted her to help pass out candy as it was Halloween. Her little brother said she went to some Halloween party with some friends. She told me to give you this note. She open the note it read:

Mom, I was invited to a party down by the foggy waters. There's a cabin there in the woods. There's some legend about some guy who was killed there and came after some girls years ago from the dead down by the foggy waters. How lame is that! Well, me and my friends are going to the party tonight no one has been there since. Don't worry I'm sure it's a made up story just to scare people. Love ya! Her mother dropped the note and started running to her car screaming noooo!
