Horror fiction that delivers on its promise to scare, startle, frighten and unsettle. These stories are fake, but the shivers down your spine won't be.

You ever have those dreams in your dreams when you wake thinking your awake and you not? Well, I have plenty of those. I woke up stared at my curtain and noticed the sunlight peeking through the edge’s. I had planned today to take my girlfriend out and surprise her of my inheritance my parents left me. I was eager to a fresh start and hopefully move out of aunt Jo's and with my girlfriend 'Jasmine'. I laid on my bed hyping myself up to ready myself for the day. when I noticed my draw shadow moving. The draws shadow started to elongate then it started to transform into what looked like a black mist-like being, 'kneeling, replacing the draw shadow completely, it knelt there waiting for its transformation to be complete before it stood.

Maya
I was ready to get away from all the incessant chatter of everybody loading onto the train. Say your goodbyes and be done with it, other people have places to be and would enjoy some peace and quiet. I quickly hop onto the train and push my way through all the people cluttering up the front. Finally, I make it past the main car and into the one that houses the private rooms. It is a lot quieter here since most have already gone into their rooms.

The Heir of Anpu
The book was black and smooth to the touch. Silver letters contrasted on the material as if to suggest it contains the mysteries of a dark cloudless night. Staring across the desk at the caramel skinned man with piercing green eyes she steadied her breath. His fingertips were poised together creating an arch of impatience as he leaned confidently back in his chair. Looking her up and down he sighed as his delicate neck shifted while his head cocked to the side to get a better view of her.

Experimented Girl
Chapter 1 My story begins when I first got adopted out to a couple that was known scientists in the community, but no one would go to think that they would experiment on their adopted daughter just so they could find a way of her getting whatever powers they were able to give her. Very few creatures are known in the world I live in, there are werewolves, vampire and shapeshifters. Living in a household of 12 kids including me who got the worst part of the house as a room to stay in and getting experimented on. (Yes, only I am getting experimented on as far as I know of) Trying to keep whatever mental state I have is important. I lay back on my bed and sigh. “Maybe today will be better,” Who was I kidding. Being 17 and no one really talking to you at all sucks.

Drunk Possession
The rain had stopped and the black, paved road had a reflective sheen that showed off the lights from the street lamps. Water dripped from trees making a staccato plopping sound as it hit the pavement while tree frogs sang their summer song. The area was completely deserted at this time of the morning, save for one lone man who staggered down the sidewalk, swaying here and there as he made his way to a destination he was unsure of. His surroundings looked vaguely familiar to him and he squinted, as if that lone action would make everything come into focus and he would know where he was.

Pages of Geechee Descent
I peeled the rat-eaten sheets from my clammy skin and tried my best to avoid the bed creaking as I got up, but that was pointless. Everything creaked in this busted-down house, from the rotten floorboards to the walls when the wind blew. I didn’t want to wake my husband, Earl, and I damn sure didn’t want to wake the three little ones we shared our bed with.

EVERY NIGHT
Whether I believed in it or not was irrelevant, at that time in my life nothing could have been further from my mind. I awoke every morning with my girlfriend; young and in love, poor, in the big bad world, together. I would make her breakfast and coffee while she showered and dressed for work.
