Horror fiction that delivers on its promise to scare, startle, frighten and unsettle. These stories are fake, but the shivers down your spine won't be.
The Revenant
It was particularly cold the evening Carlyle followed Mooney’s light pitter-patter towards the cemetery to visit his mother. Carlyle gently placed a single peony on her grave as Mooney pawed at a dead leaf. Carlyle watched as Mooney suddenly sat with his ears erect. Then with a little meow raced off in the direction towards the Norfolk woods blending in perfectly with the winter snow. Carlyle followed with a quickness.

The Gift
When my father died, he anointed me with his debts. The man was penniless in life and struggled financially; traits that I wouldn’t wish upon my enemy, were endowed upon me. Anything that required financial responsibility or even capability was better left for those with the blood that could afford such delights. He was, simply, simple. My uncle, however, was very different.

I Can Help You With That
I Can Help You With That Everyone has a story. Some are more tragic than others. Some are just plain weird. Mine is a mix of both. I am telling you this because my story could have been prevented had I seen the signs. Or just not been so naïve. So a word to the not-so wise. Take caution, because not everything is as it seems.

The Scratchcard
It was the end of another day. A day of simply going through the motions. Roger finds himself waking up, going to work and then off home again. A rinse and repeat type of routine. Excitement was hard to come by or rather afford. Providing for his family gave him little time to himself and as much as Roger loved them, he needed a little alone time before heading home today. He decided to take a detour through town, to take in the sights as it were, despite there not being too much to see. He hoped that something, anything at all interesting would happen, to liven up his day.

Little Black Book
Angie Fischer was a twenty-two-year-old medical assistant that battled day-to-day protocols of dealing with the coronavirus. Today was her first day off in about a month and she was going to go out on her own and enjoy a quiet night in the town, away from all the dying patients and mood swings of the egotistical doctors that she worked for. Living in the Bay Area is very expensive but the one thing you can do is walk around the beautiful sights and clear your mind. The BART station wasn’t far from where she lived, so her thoughts were to throw on some headphones and walk around the shopping outlets and escape the hospital for as long as she could. Angie left from work a little late, around five-thirty in the afternoon, but after a brief period at home, she was determined to make it out. She felt she deserved a day all to herself.

The Void Enigma
Charlie was an introverted and curious kid. He lived in a small town in Nevada where nothing interesting ever happened. People were born, raised and lived their entire lives in this town without ever really venturing out. They worked on farms, or in factories nearby. There were no tourists, or visitors. The town wasn’t even located on some maps. It was a quiet, self-sufficient, uneventful and isolated place.

The Living Death
The city of Mahvehli always had a strangeness to it. It was situated in the state of Assam, which lay in the northeastern part of India. It also lay close to the Himalayas. The strangeness in that city stemmed from a line of temples that were made about 2500 years ago. The temples, which shall remain nameless to hinder any excursion to them, held objects of great value, both religious and monetary, to the Indian Federal Government. So for years the Government of India guarded the temples, especially the one that held the legendary book of Rathnaran, which looked like it was made in a factory of modern times. The book documented the arrival of Ma Kaali in an ancient crime and injustice ridden India. For the sake of this retelling, we shall name that temple " Maeri".
